Just wondering since on the label it says it promotes colon health.  I'm wondering if the soluble fiber promotes bowel movements.

Larch is fiber.

I have never had an issue with it encouraging diarrhea.
But as you note fiber may promote bowel movements.

Here is an article that says it has opposite effect:

My digestion was my weak link for many decades and it manifested any imbalance with IBS and diarrhea.  Following the Genotype diet and now my SWAMI has brought me into a state of intestinal health that is very stable.

The use of ARA6 daily has not, in any way, thrown me out of balance.  In fact, I feel that it has played a big part in the healing of my gut.

Usually, diarrhea is a rapid transfer of mostly liquid through the passage.  It is usually only when I have a high toxin content material that the body is passing through rapidly that I have diarrhea.  Either I ingested a major avoid or the body opened a cyst and removed a nasty bit of stuff from it and is dumping it rapidly.

Fiber, by its nature tends to slow the passage and bind together into a mass, while containing liquid to make the passage more smooth.

I remember Dr. D. "speaking" of Larch being one of the least toxic substances you could ever put into your gut, very good for healing - very unlikely to ever hurt until it was like over 50% of your diet.

This is why I posted this question.  I have been very compliant to my SWAMI since March of this year (even avoiding Neutrals whenever possible).  That I have NEVER done before.

Before my diarrhea episode began (which, I shall repeat, I've never gotten often; and, if so, only for a day), I had started exclusively taking ONLY Dr. D's supps.... Daily 2 Activator, 2 Catalyst, 2 Flaxseed Oil (Synergist).... those with meals; and then the ARA-6, 1 t. upon rising (with my lemon water) and then before bed taken with just water.

Twelve days later the diarrhea began.  I wonder if something like you described above could be what happened?  But, in my case for sure, the problem initiated in my stomach and which Doc confirmed to be a virus.   ??? Guess we'll never know.  But it just seems strange to me that something like this happened when it did.  Nobody else around me had a stomach virus.  It was the middle of summer when it began.  I was feeling GREAT, eating right, finally supplementing better.....  I guess I should just leave it go.

The only thing it seems to be responding to is the bentonite clay.... that tells me it is successfully collecting toxins and removing them.

Although Dr. D. has Gastric-D Complex which I have to use in the future; I've decided to stick w/my chiropractor's prescription of 4 S.P. Cholocol II taken 4 x's per day, either 1 hr. before a meal or 3 hrs. after a meal.  Along with the Cholocol II I take a Deflect to help with its avoids.  I'm still continuing to take daily 2 Polyvites, 2 Multi-minerals for A's, 1 Activator, & 1 Catalyst.

I do this for a couple of reasons... 1) I respect his caring for me even after his retirement, 2) S.P. has helped me over previous health hurdles over the last 3 1/2 yrs under his direction, and 3) he does not yet know that I've stopped taking all other S.P. supps. in favor of 'the blood type doctor's' supps which, unfortunately, he pretty much has no interest.

My hope is that sometime soon after he tests me and I'm in great shape, I can share with him the switch I've made.  Perhaps that will open both his and my dear husband's minds about the connection between what you ingest and your health. Right now, when we are all together, I can no longer bring up the connection without being gently scoffed at and ignored by both of them.

Time will tell.

I like this approach also.  People can be stubborn when it comes to opening their minds to new ideas.  And they rarely change just be being told something.

Patience, working on your own body, improving your own health, stabilizing yourself. . . these things will bear fruit for you, which speaks louder than words.

Any change in the GI system can lead to gas, even beneficial changes. This often happens when "good germs" start growing in greater numbers while the "bad germs" die off.

Oh, this is so interesting!  I've been wondering why I'm still creating so much gas.  (Into the 1st full week of Dr. D's intestinal health protocol.)  My diet has been so bland and I was thinking... 'not' gas forming, and yet daily I'm producing a LOT of gas!  This is encouraging, along with the fact that my diarrhea situation is improving steadily but ever so slowly.

Thanks!
