Hi

Just curious if anyone has tried Body Ecology Diet.  I am A+ and trying to incorporate both diets to heal my gut as I am struggling to tolerate grains, nuts and salicylates.  Donna Gates does give credit to the blood type and recommends eating for your type although there are a few discrepancies.  Donna Gates is an A+ blood type and her book was very interesting.

What are some of the 'discrepancy'...?   would be interesting to see the why or what?/  


Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

Her diet seems to concentrate on blood type A, Dr D covers them all and in more detail.

l'glutamine & higher intake of B-vits as a complex should help to heal the gut problem quicker but if you're a nonnie... so I fear you won't become a friend with grains at all

Hi

Her only discrepancies I really noted are Cabbage for all blood types also ACV and coconut oil too.  Cabbage and coconut oil used to be beneficial to me but since I made a change to swami I am now Warrior and cant have either.  Both fermented which is what her diet is mainly about, its a diet based on probiotic nutrition.

Although there are a couple of grains allowed on BED, the are rules around food combinations and you can eat protein with veg but not starchy veg and you can have allowed grains with veg, one of which been quinoa but not with protein.    

As I am an A+ I guess she appealed to me.  I really need to know my secretor status with my allergies/food intolerances I think I might be a nonnie.  

I have been trying the diet with the no grains and nuts and using the food combination suggestions this week and I am feeling ok, missing my cheese and yoghurt.   I am hoping that in a couple of months I can start introducing other foods but still within my swami guidelines.

Amazone, in relation to the nonnies never been friends with grains, is this also nuts (I struggle with nuts) ??  is there more info on this ?

half of mine Aussi A+..do you deal with food intolerances or allergies And don't you have  some beautiful ND's too in your area working with bioresonance ... If so I'd go there and follow some sessions and look then if anything will be left ....

I haven't heard of bioresonance, will look into it in my Area.

I am seeing a really good Naturopath and have seen great results in just 6 weeks.  He has me on some supplements for my adrenals, glucose/sugar, liver and strong probiotics and uses Dorn/Bowen therapy and L-glutamine.  He mentioned Paleo diet but I told him I was an A+ blood type and did better on BTD and he said to do what suited me, he didn't really discuss diet much more, I was hoping he was more in tune with BTD.  He is highly recommended and it was a 6 week wait to get into see him, I am definitely feeling much better in such a short time so I am happy with stick with him.  

As far as my Allergies and Food intolerances, I have allergies to grass and animal fur, many food intolerances, asthma and celiac disease.

Is bioresonance a treatment or diagnostic tool, I have seen naturopaths/homeopaths in the past that  used a machine to test for allergies and to diagnose health issues.

My diets have changed also.. following one book - for one full year I ate turkey in place of meat.. then I changed again.. I am my own master. In the end I know what I wish and what I wish to take responsibility for.

Cabbage is sometimes used for medicinal purposes, it may have application at one time and not at others.  

Most Doctors of any sort have little to say about diets.. most have no clue... if you find one who is not trying to dissuade you (away from BTD) then you have a winner... I only go to my doctor to discuss things, he is a explaining/teacher and backs up my findings with 'test' comparison.

Yes I have that book, and re-read parts of it at time as I think there are some good points made on dealing with yeast.  I try to keep in mind Body Ecology points, for example soy milk not being good for us when battling yeast.  I have tried fermented veggies off and on, still not sure if they really work for me.  
I do Dr. D's probiotics and supplements and feel prety good about those.

I avoiding all grains at the moment except quinoa and a couple others are allowed, hoping to reintroduce my Swami beneficial grains, seeds and nuts again after I have stuck to BED for a little while.   I am still sticking to my Swami and the BED as much as possible.

hmmm I justamente re-found that book about BED and sorry I'm still disapointed... nothing new in, that lady seems to be fan of eating nearly all raw, kefir issues and...ok to sell her products ...sorry this is my opinion coz in every next paraphrases she mentiones how important her system is etc.. this was the most disgusting for me... but ok some approaches can be valide but in my second opinion she might be nothing but a story teller....this is my personal resumé of all written words......I apologize if I'm too directly as usual ...

ok one thing is fine for lay persons nicely explained what's about yeast issues and some other imbalances but then she drives completely in *one diet fits all*

sorry but I'm still happy with my so called:mediterranian diet   it fits me completely...called A2B nonnie food recommendations

sorry I didn't asnwered your question, yep bioresonance is both in one hand a diagnostic tool and then also for treatments... and we can't compare it with lab diagnostics coz we do find much earlier all badies..... but often nobody want's to get to acknowledge ... but jau I became master of the fileds here and coz of my N-side and then ading the T-side.... I know what's about it... but I also know what's doable so far I always will work with BTD/GTD..... no other diets are that suitable and adaptable... amazing....amazing results ...... thanx to Peter D'Adamo..and btw Peter is the only one who came very near to all bioresonance testings in his
recommendations... another amazing...amazing ....btw also underlined by my mentor and beautiful educator Prof.Dr. G. Uhlenbruck with whom I do still have a beautiful relationship after such long years of having been his student but I feel him much nearer as being my father

Food combining certainly does NOT work for me. The only way I can "not eat grains and proteins together at the same meal" is to not eat grains at all. A meal of grains and veggies will spike my blood sugar then lead to a crash. Any diet that advocates food combining will definitely not work for me.

I'm sure there's wisdom in her diets, as there's wisdom in many plans out there. Anybody promoting "real food" and probiotics is likely to do a lot of good for many people. But SWAMI works for me and I see no reason to change.

I always get stomach cramps when one product becomes *mystifyed*  


and with celiac disease a lot of grains containing gluten shouldn't be eaten anyway... so far no doubt the  4 named grains in BED are all seeds and so far without any gluten ... parasites, mold and psychosomatic issues are the trigger and culprit for intolerances as well as heredity might be into here too
so give a try to both and see what is really working for you

and something else I am concerned with.. as I can't tolerate any fermented foods like Sauerkraut etc.. perhaps is it about this causa that the book and its recommendations
went into my backoffice ....

and something else was intruiging me..too... how can we expect todays that see weeds aren't poluted

Thanks all for your responses.  I have so many digestive issues, had my gallbladder removed, celiac, multiple food intolerances.  I want something to help heal and B.E.D sounded promising.  Not sure if its for me

As someone who eats a fair amount of sea vegetables, I would sure like to know more about this.

something else disturbed me a bit .... how can one recommend starchy foods while following a treatment against yeast infections ...
I re-read that book now for the second time... must agree some of her advices aren't that bad, even to incorporate...ok but she can't say without having taken notice, that Peter hasn't establised any further foodrecommendations in several different cases of sicknesses... aber hallo... but ok agreed this book is written in the 90ties and then several editions followed.....I still think that Peters recommendations are much clearer and easier to follow also for laypersons and they fit much better then hers.....my 2 cents here and now I'll shut up

I agree one size does not fit all.  I love the Blood type diet system, but when I run swami there doesn't seem to be any consideration for a different diet when dealing with yeast.  I have learned from BED and my own trial and error that I do best to minimize low sugar fruit, very minimal soy milk, and some other things that are supposed to be Beneficials for me.

Another Doctor I found by chance who I think has good advice and a good book is Ann Boroch, book The Candida Cure.  She cured herself of an auto immune disease by curing herself of candida.  Worth a read.  Much easier and simpler than BED.

While I don't follow everything in BED i do believe there one can learn a lot about what feeds yeast and then I think one has to experiment and see what works.

I have definitely learnt a lot from the BED book, I haven't stuck to it 100% but definitely incorporating some of the principles, also by cutting out many grains and sugar/honey etc. (some Beneficial's and neutral's) my stomach has felt quite good, although I must admit I am hungry at times.    I am feeling clearer minded and for the first time in ages I am feeling more positive about my diet, swami and the also the principles of B.E.D.

The thing I like most about BED is that I can incorporate a lot of it with my Swami.   I have also read and from others experiences A+ blood group do well on BED.  I think this is what drew me to the diet in the first place.  

I was recommended by a GP to try GAPs but it sure didn't agree with me probably more suited to Os.

Thanks for the suggestion Lin , I will be sure to look up Ann Borochs book
