I sound like a broken record on this, vit A, vit D and zinc.  My sons and I got rid of it by taking large doses of vit A until it went away.

If she will not try what is offered then: leave it to Beaver..

I might instead try Pantothenic acid.. it does wonders to protect cell walls.. and many people are in need all around..

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

Do you know the girl's blood type and what her diet is like? What are her reasons for not using vitamin A?

I have this problem on my forehead and the backs of my thighs, sometimes the 'flesh' part of my calves.

What helps for me, especially on the thighs, is exfoliation.  I use a washcloth to rinse my face when I wash it.  I use those gloves they sell in the grocery/drug stores for my legs.

I don't take extra vitamin A because I get a small amount in my multi, but also because most of the vegetables that I eat are high in A:  spinach (in salad every day), carrots, broccoli, and sweet potato.  Sweet potatoes have the highest amount of vit. A, then pumpkin, then carrots, then spinach.

Andrea,

I really wonder about vitamin A, as some places say to take high doses, others say watch out that you don't overdose.  ? ? ?

I take 'Solovite' by Solgar which has 50,000 IU.  Do I need more than that plus the vit A vegetables?

My MD has recommended 50,000 IU per day if you have bumps on your skin.  When the bumps go away, you can go down to 10,000 IU.  My doctor also said the only reliable source of Vit A in foods in liver...

If you have heavy periods, I take up to 90,000 IU until the flow lessens.

No ill effects.
