Now that i can make my own wine, and we are enjoying having just a glass every now and again.

I though it may be an idea to make a small batch of gluten free beer of some sort.

would the fact that the beer would be home made with little or no additives or preservative and that it would be gluten free move the beer, if taking sparingly, from an avoid to perhaps a black dot.

pushing the boat, I know I know, but I just wondered.

Personally, I'd drink it if I was 100% sure that all the ingredients were compliant. How is it different than home-fermented beets or carrots?

I was at a BBQ last weekend, and was offered a beer. Considering how I do on gluten, I declined. Had somebody thought to buy a 6-pack of GF beer, I would have had one. I'm not about to spend my own money on a multi-pack of something I may or may not tolerate, but in a social setting I'd have tried 1/2 or 1 portion's worth.

For an Explorer?  I would guess, no.  I doubt that Explorers should ingest alcohol regardless of how it was produced.  Is wine really allowed on your diet?

My SWAMI diet is a blend of BTD and GTD Explorer, but I'm not totally compliant.  Also I try to choose foods that have a Low Glycemic index.  DW and DD are A+, probably also Explorer.

Red Wine is a swami neutral for me. I never have more than 2 small glasses. My objective was to have one glass a day but usually its a glass every other day
