Noticed a new product at Whole foods (new to me)

Lucuma Powder    - package says it's used as a sweetner.

Anyone used it or know anything about it?

It looks like it is a subtropical or tropical fruit from Peru or Chile.

I would use it as an unrated neutral per the portion / frequency levels for condiments with the proper caution about reactions.

I would consider Lucuma to be similar in ranking to Sapotes, Marmalade Plum

Biologically similar, not necessarily the same raking.

a low GI sweetener, which contains carbohydrates, vitamins, minterals, fibre.  Tastes ok to me, I also like raw carob powder, and recently I tried mesquite powder too.  My favourite is the raw carob powder (put it into my green smoothies).
