Sun Chlorella and Nova Scotia Dulse.

I think the Dulse is basically sea weed and will give me iodine and help my thyroid.  NO?

And does the chlorella help clean things up?  Like clean your blood?  Mop up stuff?  Help move it out?

My ND's machine found that I have too much radiation.  Along with fighting lyme disease.  And this is what the machine spit out that I need.  These two, some thyroid drops and some lyme drops.

I'm just trying to understand what they do.

Thank you!!!

Dulse is a great source of many minerals, including iodine.

Chlorella helps the body move mercury OUT, and probably has similar effects with other heavy metals.

Sounds like a question for your ND.

JJR,

I've taken both chorella (now I'm taking it in a powder form) and dulse.

Chorella is definitely a blood cleaner.  I just read you're not supposed to take it if you have any auto immune diseases.

And the dulse has the iodine.  I usually put all these things into my smoothie in the AM.  I can't stand the taste any hint of fish or seaweed so along with the other ingredients it's been working just fine.

It's good to gather information and do research and I'm sure your ND will be glad to explain further why you should be taking them.

It was at the end of our session and my brain didn't think to ask.  I could email him.

Amazone, I totally understand where you're coming from.  I actually have the same concerns.  BUT, I also trust him.  The other times I've taken his stuff, it has helped me.  My thyroid has been sluggish in the past.  And I have felt like lately it's been a little that way.  So....  I feel that it's OK to take for now.  But I will definitely take it slow and monitor how it affects me.  I do know that a sluggish thyroid is not any good for health either.

I know you're trying to help.  And I appreciate it.  FWIW, the other night I stepped on the scale and I saw the big 140.  I had clothes on, but that's OK.  It has been years since any scale had seen me at 140, even with clothes on.  But yeah, my metabolism is not slow.   I've had a few day where I don't get as many calories in me as I want and it almost always makes me lighter.  But again, I don't feel like I'm on overdrive.  In fact, my feet have been colder lately than they were in the beginning of the winter.

I sprinkle Dulse flakes on my salad.  I also munch on Lavor Nori seaweed when I need an energy boost.

I used to take Sun Chlorella and still use the Pet Chlorella whenever one of my cats is sick or injured.  It helped my mother’s cat when she had tumors.  Anyway, now I take the highest formula of BioSuperFood (BSF).  http://www.bioage.com/  It was formulated after the Chernobyl disaster.  I used to work at Fermi National Accelerator Lab and would go down in the tunnels between runs so I was concerned about radiation.

Niacin removes radiation.  That flush you get when you take niacin? That's niacain pushing the radiation out of the body through your skin. Nothing magical about that. You can even see old bathing suit marks appear. I did.

"Pushing" out radiation? I've never heard of that.

It's called a histamine flush.

Whatever you call it.  I have no clue.  I took some of my medicine last week and got a little bit of a herx on the weekend.  But I'm taking it slow.  I have a lot going on at church this weekend.  So..  I stopped taking the stuff this week to try an avoid a herx.

Anyways...  Trying to move forward.

I don't understand Amazone.  I'm on like practically 10% of what I used to be a couple of years ago.  Coq10, Cod liver oil, and seretonin support.  That's it.  This new stuff is only  few more.  And I think in order to get to the next level, I need something.  And from what I understand, fighting lyme is not something your immune system does well on it's own.  So....  I think it does something of a job, but gets overwhelmed. Because there's so much going on.

I've never seen you so skeptical about supps before.  Maybe I just never noticed.

I suspect that SOME people's immune systems can handle Lyme just fine- those are the people who get a tick bite and never show outward signs of Lyme's disease, or who have a strong initial reaction and then fully recover. Their bodies handle it and it's over.

By definition, any chronic illness means that your body's defenses have been overwhelmed, and you're going to need something to get back on track. Lyme has a way of overcoming the body's immune system and causing chronic problems. The Lyme germ hides from the immune system and then pops back out when you least expect it.

Thanks Ruthie.  Yeah, I have a feeling I was fighting it OK for a while.  But lots of things made it pop up drastic.

I have no experience with chlorophyll.....  I haven't look at any of the books on that one.  I just planned on taking it.  I haven't yet though.  .  Taking it slow.
