Hi! Just a little update. I have been doing awesome being a vegan warrior, but the other day I tried eating some diamond seafood. I had been a little tired and afterwards I felt so refeshed. It was kind of weird, because I had been eating vegan so long, I am not normally tempted by seafood, but that day I was. I had some octopus and red snapper - both were delicous and made me feel good - so now I will be eating diamond seafood. I guess eating vegan brought me to a place of health - which it has - off of several meds - actually all meds - and now I think it is time to add diamond seafood back into my diet. How great is to be a Warrior |

great! |
| My SWAMI diet is a blend of BTD and GTD Explorer, but I'm not totally compliant. Also I try to choose foods that have a Low Glycemic index. DW and DD are A+, probably also Explorer. |

Fish is a popular, "happy" food in our family, especially cod since it's blood type/genotype friendly to everyone in our family (3 O's, 2 B's, 1 A). In fact,my family loves when I coat the fish with either arrowroot starch, brown rice flour, or tapioca starch (depending on each person's type),along with garlic or onion powder and sea salt, and fry it in olive oil to a crisp. That is a very delicious and nutritious way to eat your fish.
I hope you find many ways to enjoy the new addition to your diet. |

It is not like I will be going fish crazy - I get 1 serving of turkey per week, 3 servings of seafood per week, 3 servings of dairy and 6 eggs per week. Other than that, it is all vegan anyway. So it won't be a huge change in my diet by adding seafood. Warriors aren't huge meat eaters to begin with. I will moniter how things go closely - I do not want to go back on the meds I worked so hard to get off. I still have weight to loose, so I am hoping by switching things up a little it will push my metabolism into high gear. I also just ordered the A pack and the Warrior pack - so hopefully this combination will help me reach my goal weight a little faster. I know listening to by body is the key. |

I'm glad you're listening to your body rather than sticking to veganism out of pride. Warriors do need the least amount of animal products of all the genotypes- but few people can thrive long-term on vegan diets. A few servings of animal foods per week is all you need (unlike my needs!) |

As a fellow Warrior I appreciate your update...I have been thinking of giving up Fish but with your comments, I think I will stick to my super fish with diamonds being the preference |

So proud of you! I have never been a "meat" lover...even when I did eat some a little over 18 years ago!(beef, poultry, fish) I would go days without even turkey or fish or chicken or eggs... Then I read ER4YT.... Next, GTD and finally swami. Now, I know how to listen to my body. I might have one or 2 days a week without fish or turkey but most days my body needs that complete protein! The meatless days usually find me eating eggs/cheese....and I do eat either peanut butter or almond butter every morning! |
