You did not say which book you are using. But the app contains a more up to date list of foods than most of the books. Some of the books were published in the 1990s and additional research indicated that some foods should be rated differently. Also some of the books do not consider secretor status and this can change the ratings significantly.
An up to date listing of blood type food values is at: http://www.dadamo.com/typebase4/typeindexer.htmThe app was based on the value in this list. A few mistakes were made initially in the App. I believe all of these were corrected, but if you have not updated your app recently it may be that it still has some of the initial mistakes. |

thank you for your reply. The book I was referring to was the eat right for your type written sometime in the 1996. my mom just purchased that book. the app I just downloaded this month so I would hope that it would be correct.I guess I just get confused because going back and forth from book to app the information is different so I will follow this website as well as my app for the most up to date information thank you so much for your help |

The app is definitely more up-to-date. If you own the book (as opposed to using a library copy) you may want to write the changes into the book itself, so the book can be as updated as the app.
You would want to follow the book values, however, if you're using one of the books designed to treat a specific condition. There's a book for pregnant and nursing moms (Eat Right 4 Your Baby) as well as books for Diabetes, Arthritis, Fatigue, etc. Those books have different values on purpose, since some foods are especially healing (or especially toxic) for specific health problems, while still being neutral for the general population with that blood type. |
