Winter: Hidden potential.
First, I am amazed by what I've read.  I finally got my blood type checked (O).  So I devoured the book and I'm going back again through again.  I started gaining weight like crazy over the past 10 years and had a lot of stress caring for a sick parent and finishing college while working full time.  I ate what was convenient...quick drive thrus, packaged foods...terrible.  And I paid for it.  I felt like the garbage I was eating.  I started a diet program last year and quickly lost 60 of the 100lbs I wanted to lose.  The program consisted of low carbs and high protein which is what O types thrive on according to Dr. D'Adamo's research.  The concepts outlined in his book are so logical and the research so scientifical that I can't imagine why scientist won't back it up, other than the fact that they really don't want to help people really feel better.  I strayed a little but reading the book has gotten me back on track and I've lost already 5lbs in less than a week!

One of the things that I was using was apple cider vinegar (Braggs).  The book states that O's should avoid vinegar and pickled things.  Is Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother an exception?  Has anyone else used it?  I felt it was helping me, but I don't want to use it if it really isn't.

Thanks!

If you are an O secretor, Apple cider vinegar is neutral on the blood type diet.

I had the "Eat Right for your Blood Type" blood for over a year. Finally went to see someone who does blood analysis and identified that my husband is type O and that his diabetes meds were making him worse. This person also follows this diet and gave us a copy of what foods he can eat. After a week of following the diet, saw a dramatic improvement in his skin colour, energy etc....This book has now become my "bible" and I do not go shopping without it. Many thanks to Dr. D'Adamo. I have now ordered more of his book and will now get my blood typing done.
