I just hate it that I am missing out on the benefits of lemon because of the problems I have with it! |

Is lemon juice in cold water equally effective? I'm not a fan of drinking warm water. |

I like drinking hot water with lemon and honey. No idea if that's good enough...? Maybe I should let the water cool down before adding any lemon. |

Some of those listed benefits apply to other fruit juices. Some apply to plain water. And my guess is that it's most beneficial for those having Lemon as a Benny. Personally, I prefer the taste of limes and of grapefruits... But I think you could trade off between fruits from time to time - if this sort of beverage is something you fancy. |

Ruthie, I have always drank my morning fresh Meyer lemon water..cold! The only water I drink hot is for my tea or coffee. I believe it is just as beneficial as warm/hot lemon water..at least for me. Once, while traveling, I did not have direct/quick access to morning lemon water for 2 days and I had more mucous than usual. Because of my chronic sinus issues (nasal polyps) I am diligent with these preventive measures; oil pulling, morning lemon water, allegra, collinsonia and quercetin, several cups/glasses of hot and homemade iced tea, plain and lime and lemon water, air purifier, wearing a dental mask outdoors when windy and indoors while cleaning, and sleeping with 3 pillows! |

Yeah, I can attest to the fact that drinking lemon water all day helps clear my sinuses. Sometimes it makes me sneeze quite a bit. It's a good feeling though. And it sure beats the heck out of plain water. I can't even stand plain water any more since all I drink is water with lemon now. |

Mucus. I'd forgotten about that benefit of lemon water. I've fallen out of the habit of having lemon water regularly, and I've had this lingering cold for the past several weeks. I'm drinking some lemon water right now. |

Thanks for the reminder. I rarely drink lemon water but if it helps mucus I'll start! |

Yup, it generally benefits all blood types. The only ones who can't benefit from this are those with citrus allergies. |

I like to drink my lemon water warm, with a pinch of sea salt. The salt cuts the sour, imo. |

I mix my lemon with grapefruit juice (adding the pulp back in) tepid water and add a teaspoon of trehalose. It makes me feel so refreshed & really hydrated |
