So saliva test was too inaccurate? But what about foreigners?
I tested my secretor status via saliva and got this "O secretor". However, it seems like I have both secretor and non-secretor features in my body...
I would like to test my Lewis antigens to ensure are I a- b- or not. But I assume this is not possible when donating blood in smaller towns, only in some bigger cities in Finland they can test broadly your blood...
Of course if there is some test in Finland it may be possible if you pay for that... |

No! With all tests there are ways that they can be wrong. Saliva testing has proven over a period of time that it is reliable method to determine secretor status. The most common way to get a false positive for being a secretor with a saliva test is to have a cut in the mouth that allows the sample to be contaminated with blood. If you want to confirm secretor status with another method and are having problems with getting the Lewis test in Finland ( http://right4eu.sageshops.co.uk/gbp/product_info.php?cPath=20&products_id=96 ), you might consider genetic testing. thank you C_sharp! I didn't see any red-like in the tube where I producec the saliva to. Maybe I just have to rely to positive result. Until I really want to test myself more. |
