Hi can anyone recommend a good multi? I have tried the blood type ones but did not do well on them, are there any health food brands you have had success with? Thanks a bunch |

I see you are in NYC-- any chance I could convince you to see Dr. D'Adamo in Brooklyn or in Bridgeport? Might be worth it to get things just right. |

I only use Dr D supps. I find that if I have an issue with any supps it settles if I take a break and then reduce quantity for a while. are you using exacta or polyvite?
but if you think multi is not working and you feel magnesium, calcium and B12 are the big problem for you.
why not take methyl 12 by Dr D, I take one a day, and phytocal O for mineral and have an Epsom salts bath once or twice a week or a Epsom salts foot bath. after a while once you become accustomed you might like to alternate the Epsom salts with magnesium chloride. |

I personally only use the Life Extension 'two per day' multivitamin, as it mainly contains nutrients which I feel are essential for BTO's i.e. iodine from kelp, selenium, zinc, magnesium etc. Its really quite inexpensive too, and comprehensive compared to standard multivitamins. What I also love about it is that it only contains 50% of your RDI of Vitamin A per tablet or capsule, which is more then enough for most people in my opinion. You can buy them in capsules or tablets, I've used both. http://www.iherb.com/Life-Extension-Two-Per-Day-Capsules-120-Capsules/46679Hope this helps |

I only use Dr D's supplements, Then I can be absolutely sure everything has been taken into account. I have a supply of other people a supplement that I bought before I realised that which I am reluctant to use.
I have heard that when you but supplements from some places they may not even be real. just counterfeit ones. I am not prepared to risk that with my health.
I am also beginning to realise that Dr D's supplements don't necessarily work on just one problem but many.
Like someone on here always says, let Dr D and the Diet do the work for you. |

stephanieelisej & Faith and joy. RE you recommended multi - I would not use them personally they contain many things I would not recommend. and generally contain cheaper ingredients. Other ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid, croscarmellose sodium, aqueous film coating (purified water, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, glycerin), calcium sulfate, silica, vegetable stearate, starch. Contains soybeans. Due to the source of the kelp, this product may contain fish and shellfish. Also Inositol 50 mg which is a sugar alcohol. There website also has several errors on it including recommended serving etc. Re Vitamin A - Dr D's Polyvite contain the same quantity for per day Hope that helps |

Hi can anyone recommend a good multi? I have tried the blood type ones but did not do well on them, ...
This was probably a healing crisis, but can't be certain... Whenever I start taking new supplements, I usually feel worse before I feel better due to the healing effects... |

You also have the option of NOT taking a multivitamin at all. I'm not convinced it's necessary if you're eating properly (enough greens, enough good fats, etc.) Multivitamins don't contain usually enough of any one vitamin to correct a deficiency or to compensate for low absorption or a particular need for more of one specific nutrient- so many people need to take specific vitamins whether or not they're also taking a multi. |

This brand uses soy ingredients, plus made in facility that processes eggs, shellfish, wheat, milk, and nut ingredients. So it may not be that good for you. Soy is a toxin for my type i know. I don't think it is a significant amount, but still could be counter productive if soy is a toxin. I take them in spurts and then back off. My best daily vitamin is milk thistle i think. |

These are kind of bulky and require a lot of water for me to swallow, but are clean of allergens and have almost everything you need. There are a number of other products on this site I'd recommend. http://beyondhealth.com/Multi_Vitamin.asp |
| Gluten sensitive. Mild allergies to cod, yeast, and genetically modified soy. |

While diet must be primary focus in good health, supplements can accelerate the healing process and compensate for degrading soils in the modern practice of agriculture. |

Read the ingredients carefully in any supplement you consider purchasing. I've read the labels of various "whole food vitamins" and each one contained at least one "avoid" for each blood type in my family. |

They contain orange, and "vegetable lubricant" and one a day goes against all the advice to spread your vitamin and mineral intake like you do your food. They also don't state which substances they get there vitamins and minerals from so one should assume they are cheaper. example there K! is from Cabage, vitamin c is orange they have a link to "To Learn More About Our Slo-Food Process Click Here" which doesn't work And finally I should point out that they recalled their one a day prodcut http://www.megafood.com/crc MegaFood is advising its consumers who have purchased the One Daily supplement between the dates of June 6th and Oct. 26, 2012 to keep this product out of reach of children and/or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or replacement product. Also the Name MEGA smacks of un original thought and therefore deeds lol |
