I recently downloaded the App, but also have the book. There are a few discrepancies in what they say is beneficial or neutral in the book and the App. Which one is the better Authority? I'm blood type O and my wife is blood type A and we are trying to work things out.
Example for O: Book says barley is nuetral App says Barley is harmful Book says oats are Harmful App says Oats are Neutral
I assume you are talking about Eat Right 4 Your Type. As it was written years ago, before the Secretor status information was separated, The App. or the website Typebase are the most current. http://www.dadamo.com/typebase4/typeindexer.htm
The app is a newer product, so I would think it is more up to date. How does it compare with the data base on this site? I understand it to be the most up to date.

It depends on which book.
If you're looking at Eat Right 4 Your Type then the app is more accurate. It's the most up-to-date food list available and reflects more recent research.
If you're following one of the "Health Series" books (for Diabetes, Arthritis, or another health condition) or Eat Right 4 Your Baby (and are currently pregnant and/or nursing) then follow the book, not the app. These books have a few foods with different food values on purpose, specifically tailored to specific health issues. The app, while up-to-date, isn't as specific as those books.
If you're looking at Change Your Genetic Destiny, aka "The Genotype Diet" and abbreviated GTD, then you only follow the book, as it's a different system than BTD (blood type diet) with different nutrients and toxins emphasized.
