I just came back from the eye doctor and was informed that I have some scarring on my left eye, due to the conjunctivitis I had a couple of weeks ago.
I'm looking for ideas on what supps I can be taking to help heal those scars. The doctor said nothing short of a cornea transplant could help, but I know better.
I just received an order from NAP including Occubright and Redoxa. I currently take 2000 mg of Vit C. Any other suggestions?
Appreciate it! |

My only suggestion would have been Occubright - and lots of beneficial foods... |

It seems like a good natural eyedrop would be a wise addition. I haven't researched it to see what would be appropriate in your case, but I use Similasan homeopathic ones for various things, such as Allergy, Dry Eye, Irritated Eye, etc. There may be other products that would be more specific for you, but even the Irritated Eye drops wouldn't hurt. If I run across other ideas, I'll post them. |

What about a twitching eye? This happens to me from time to time - just out of the blue. It happened today when I got up and went on for a couple of hours... |

What about a twitching eye?
Twitching is typically a muscle or nerve response. Most of the time it goes away rather quickly for me without any intervention. |

Yes, I use those eye drops as well. All the infection is gone from the eye, which is good. It's the scarring on the eye ball itself that is causing the left eye not to be able to be corrected by glasses. |

Now that I have been diagnosed with posterior vitreous detachment (my vitreous gel is becoming detached from the retina), my eye doctor said that nothing will help, but I started taking an eye supplement that contains bilberry, lutein, zeaxanthin, in the hopes that it won't get worse. Dr. D has something similar. |

Hi Drea, I would go with: -Ocubright -Harmonia Deluxe Green contains Chlorella 1500 mg as well http://www.4yourtype.com/prodinfo.asp?number=NP000OR https://www.sunchlorellausa.com/shop//category/9-eye-health.aspxA similar experience that may (or may not) help you: My co-worker had serious pain in his eye which went up to his head to the point where he couldn’t open one eye. He had to stop working for 2 weeks and went to see the Doctor. His Doctor gave him eyedrops but it didn’t help. He quit using the drops and decided to focus on fasting and only drinking lots of carrot and apple juice (about 10 lb. of carrots in 2 days) for the first week. For the second week he added some naturally cooked foods along with the carrot and apple juice. After one month passed, the pain was gone and he was able to see and open his eye. WOW! Natural foods and supplements can have such healing power. Best wishes! |

Vitamin E is supposed to be good for scar tissue, but I wonder if the cornea would respond the same as one's skin. In case there is any doubt, I would take it internally, not put it on the eye! For the skin, it works directly & probably internally. FYI, it is good for varicose veins. |

I just finished reading that you should only take 500mg of vit c at on time so space the mg out by four at least 45min apart anymore than that will just become expensive flushable water, if you know what I mean. The body can only asimulate the 500 mg during that time. I to would take the occubright wishing you the best |

I remember reading that, too, a long time ago. Thanks for the reminder! |
