I just verified that the (half-eaten) jar of TJ's organic pb I have is not on the list. Whew! I'm going to savor this jar, since it may be a while before the stores stock the shelves. |

Whew, is right. Trader Joe's just opened in September here and this is the second jar of peanut butter (bought some strawberry jelly also) that I bought.
It's not on the list and what a relief. I've been dealing with too much already.
Thanks Chloe for posting.

It is funny how we are so different about taste. I dislike Jif with a passion because is TOO sweet! I have been eating organic peanut butter for over forty-five years. My taste buds are definitely set in their ways. Does anybody remember Walnut Acres? I got our very first organic peanut butter from them! I still remember how delicious it was when I first tasted it! |

I haven't eaten Jif in eons but it's one of the only pnb I could buy when my kids were little. They add sweeteners....so does Skippy. I grew up eating Skippy pnb. Walnut Acres, Yes Spring....that company still exists....I just don't see their pnb anymore and what I can find of theirs is sauces and juices....And probably some big food giant bought them out. The smaller companies just couldn't survive on their own. |

I used to love to get their catalogs. Pages and pages of delicious stuff. Getting an order from them was like opening a Christmas box! I think I still have at least one of their catalogs here somewhere. I never got to visit the farm, but I certainly would have enjoyed it. I would always order some great snacks from them to take with us when we were taking a trip. I was introduced to them by a friend who had gotten a huge tub of peanut butter from them as a gift. Her brother knew she loved their peanut butter so he ordered her about five pounds of it for her birthday as a joke, and she gave me a big jar full. It was soooo good! |
