SWAMI allows me to eat red meat once a week, however, all of the red meats are listed under avoid. Not sure what I am supposed to do. Are there any other Warriors who are allowed red meat? |

Hi, If you can eat red meat, there should be some that are considered a neutral. Red meat will never be a beneficial for us. I was allowed veal once a week, but I had my SWAMI done by Dr. D. If there is a red meat that's not listed as an avoid, you can eat it as a neutral. |

It says 1x a week under portions, but there are no red meats (even neutrals) for warriors. I assume it's a mistake in the book. |

Does it say 0 to 1 x per week? If so, it's not recommending you to eat it once a week. Just giving you the lowest possible option. I'd go for 0 if that's the way it's printed. |

Black dot would be first choice, under avoids. If there are no black dots, I recommend lamb (easy to digest). The thing is that you don't need to eat it, ever. It is just saying if you did once a week, of not to big portion, it wouldn't be the end of the world. |

Thank you for your replies. Maybe Swami Software did make a mistake. Non of the meats have a black dot and are all under avoid. Perhaps, it would be o.k. for me to have meat once a week without major problems. That's what I am thinking.

In that case, I'd also go with lamb instead of beef.

I too have a Warrior Swami that says I can have red meat once a week...but there are only avoids and no black dots. I LOVED lamb in my pre BTD and Swami days so once a month I have read meat and eat a small serving of lamb Kind of a compromise. I don't eat my one serving of turkey the day before or after and digestion seems to be OK. |

No red meat for a Warrior-- those values mean if the foods are on your list you can have them 0-1 per week.
Since they do not appear on your neutral or superfood column you can not have red meat.

There is no mistake. What it is telling you, is serving wise that is the most appropriate, but since there are no black dots there isn't a chance of benefit or benign use; it can only be bad for you physically.
Black dots are ok to consume after healing, so they become benign to you at a certain level of health where minor consumption of them won't overall be a determent; but during healing they very likely could be since the body has a lot of obstacles. |

ilse,
Quoted Text
red meat Red meat contains Toxins that wreak havoc in the body if they aren't filtered out; instead of removing them, Warriors convert these by-products into carcinogens, which can bind to DNA and end up causing stomach, colon, or breast cancer. That's a steep price to pay for a piece of steak!

Dr. Nash said I didn't have to eat red meat as there were no beneficials even though it listed some portions at the top. Perhaps you want to take it as "don't eat red meat more than once a week" |

Honestly, it sounds like a glitch in SWAMI software to me. If you don't have any compliant red meats, the weekly servings should read "zero" not "one." |

I get lamb (and mutton) once a week in my Swami. I usually eat it when I go to a restaurant (which is not very often). My body reacts well to it, nothing like when I eat other red meat (like beef).
And my Swami says 0 to 1 a week.

When I got my salvia test back & entered the results as non-sec, swami gave me goat as a genoharmonic blend so I used the 0-1 serve per week suggestion for this. I then got a blood test which said secretor, made the change & I have now no neutral red meats to become a geno blend (all red meat avoids now) & I feel so much better without it, I rarely have the poultry serve per week either, I just feel better without it (confirms the secretor status in my mind!) |

On the tip of the day one time i read warriors could treat themselves to a steak or other type of red meat on occassion, like perhaps once a week as long as they are in good health. |

The instructions are general.. If you have no red meat listed in beneficial or neutrals that means that SWAMI is not giving you any servings of red meat a week. On my present SWAMI I don't have veal because I wasn't losing weight with one serving a week. So I don't eat any meat other than fish or turkey. Ok emu.. but where can I even buy it? |

Yep, as a rule No red meat for us. We can't digest it very well. Since I stopped the red meat, my eczema on my elbows cleared up! I had that for a long time.. |

That is the point of 0-1x. None of it is good for you, or even neutral for you, but if you were to eat it once a week the overall determent to health probably wouldn't be a big deal. Obviously one could reason that if it says 0 or 1, you could choose 0 as often as 1. |

I have the same advice on my Swami printout, and would prefer to see the advice of 0 times per week to avoid confusion in future. (But I do allow a tiny bit of meat gravy to creep onto my plate when I make meat meals with veg for my partner, and I harvest some of the veg from the pot for myself.) |
