Holy Cow! Donica here; I thought Jim was an O also but he just checked his service papers and he's a B+. Time to rethink grocery list. Is there anyway to plug in O and B for a combined food list or must it be done by hand? |

Hi Donica, I have the same here It's quite easy to combine B and O's. The main avoids for B's are: Chicken, pork, wheat, corn, peanuts, sesame- I think Substitute turkey for chicken, you are on the same page with the wheat and pork, cut out peanut butter and jelly sambos, snack on other nuts and seeds. B's can have some foods that are avoids for O's (like oranges)- it's a short enough list. You will write it out quite quickly if you know 'your' foods off by heart. After that get in cheeses and milk and that's it! |

Basically both type O's and type B's thrive on lots of vegetables and some meat. Fine tune by choosing meats that are appropriate for you both, such as lamb and turkey. Other meats are beneficial for one and neutral for the other, but still work. Most O's get more beef than type B's. Same with fish - both blood types do well on it. Just have a good book, such as LR4YT, so it's quick to compare lists. It could be harder, I think, if he was a type A. |

Gulf Coast Guy! I took your advise and tested Jim's blood. Yep, you were right; the military had it wrong... He's "O+", just like me, not a B+ which was listed on his service papers. I'm so glad you told me! Now it will be so much easier to plan, shop and eat. He worked out to be a Hunter so I will follow his protocol. I'm sure I will benefit just as much as he will. Thank you all for your support. Donica |

You're welcome! I'm glad that your shopping will be simplified. After you get his diet under control you can work more on yours, it will give you more energy to help him out. |

I will. And we'll also check with his dr. Since he has Parkinson's it's imperative we know for sure. |
