Gua sha is amazing! Helps with all sorts of aches and pain. My acupuncturist uses a porcelain spoon, like the one pictured. She always applies olive oil to the skin first, so you don't get a friction burn. We use gua sha at home for specific aches and pains, often from sports injuries or just from overdoing it.
After my porcelain spoon broke, I found a small, wooden food spreader that works quite well. I have several other similar spreaders. One time my son, who is the Prince of Gua Sha
, saw that I had put a spreader on a food platter to serve to guests. Of course, he announced to everyone that "gross" I had used it to "spoon" his back! Love that kid!
