First, any kids you and hubby have are also nonnie. The gene is recessive so that is all you had to pass on. |

Nope, just accept the fact that "you're special", like anyone else Be aware that nonnies should care more about their well-being. BTD/GTD, are both excellent tools for that. I'm a father of a nonnie, and he's been doing great ever since he started following BTD and then GTD. |

Finding out that you're a nonnie means that you understand yourself better. You've ALWAYS been nonnies; you just didn't know about it before now. Your bodies haven't changed.
Nonnies are more prone to all kinds of health problems, but by eating the right foods (and exercising, and avoiding toxins in the house, etc) you're minimizing those risks. Don't let some of the literature scare you. |

When you are more informed, then your chances of beating any nonnie health issues are increased. It is good that you know. |

I'm very happy to have found out that I'm a non-secretor because I had a difficult time disciplining myself to really follow the food plan and take my health seriously. When I discovered that non-secretors don't have the leeway to be careless with our health, it was the motivation that I had needed. I jumped on board 100% nearly 15 years ago and never looked back. I have watched my health steadily improve over the years - in every way. I now am much healthier than I have been in my entire life! |

Being nonnie explains you to you.. now all that you ever thought was correct! |
| When I see other peoples medicines schedule-I am happy to be here taking care of my health I only wish to drop weight more easily-life would be perfection Being 'here' creates understanding. BTD prevents damage from eating avoids. Thanks Dr D & your sups - all support and friendships |

I was gonna say "be afraid --- be very, very afraid!!" BUT, considering my own high cortisol level as an A..............that would qualify as abusing you, and I am attracted to nonnies anyway. Chill. If it had not been you and your husband, and another couple visiting awhile, I would have said, "think of them as matching salt and pepper shakers -- a new and unique decoration in your life!" 1 |

What do you mean by LDN? Thanks for all the great advice everyone! That is sort of how I'm looking at it, kind of neat, makes me know we need to be more serious about following the diet. |

I just found out I am a nonnie, too, and felt a little overwhelmed, but it makes sense in so many ways now. When I told my Type A mother she got this stricken look on her face. I had to laugh and tell her "I'm not dying! I just have to do some things different." And a post I made a while ago while following the Hunter diet is moot since I didn't have the information then that I do now. I'm glad we have a clubhouse! Should make this easier. And now more recipes to look up! |
