We had a little bit of mcdonalds last night. I really didn't want it but it was offered to me so I asked for the grilled chicken sandwich, tossed the bun and ate the lettuce tomato chicken. A few hours after that my stomach was hurting bad. Sharp pains from gas. I took the avoid off! Mustve been something bad in that chicken. Hidden wheat or something. Lately I can't hardly have fast food anymore. This diet is making me more sensitive. Strangely I can have arbys roast beef though. Food for thought.

I had this reaction once when eating Arby's roast beef. I googled it at the time and found out others had the same reaction. It is something they put in their beef. But for the chicken in McDonalds, I usually get the typical MSG reactions. Bloating, hunger, cravings. I like my meat best all natural. No seasoning, sauce or marinade.

There's usually some sort of hidden 'gems' in fast food. For me it's always best avoided (certainly for the last 10 years at least, and definitely for the last 4 years on this wondrous eating journey)! The longer you eat right for your type, the more sensitive you become to nasties - at least in the very early stages, which seems to decrease with time as the gut heals - this has been my experience anyway. I can now eat the rare 'hidden gem' and not get the same gut-bursting, painful, not-for-general-public-consumption explosions I used to. Best to steer clear really. I hope the pain was fleeting and that you're back on form now! All the best!

I don't eat McDonald's, ever! I'd rather go hungry or stop at a grocery and get a bag of nuts or anything to keep me going until I can get something better.
There are some fast food places that I could get a side that won't hurt me too bad, but the times I would are really rare.
My body will not tolerate that kind of food anymore. I rarely eat out so that those times that I do, I'll go to a good restaurant that prepares fresh, real food. Mainly, my own hands are the creators of my meals.

or that reaction was always there you just never realized.
I see you are still quite young

You could have asked for the meat without a bun in the first place. A few crumbs of wheat probably stuck to the meat anyway, and you could be reacting to those.

No fast food here, either. It made me nauseous even before BTD! The few times (I was with children) I had to eat at McD's I had the yogurt and fruit without granola. It was ok. Once in awhile my family will go to El Pollo Loco and order plain chicken, rice and pinto beans in a bowl with onions and cilantro or separately.

I really don't eat any fast food except the occasional Panda Express bowl, but have just recently seen signs in the stores saying whole restaurant contaminated with gluten etc- I think this is true of most restaurants in general.

"ANYTHING" is the key word! Anything but McDonald's or any other fast food!!! I haul around one of Dr. D.'s cherry bars for that very reason!!! And a few nuts to go with it. And a small bottle of water. I ate a little of one of those little "healthy" snacks they have once, and I thought I was going to croak!! There must have been a hundred grams of sugar on that stuff besides no telling what else!!

I feel this way too!
And Arby's does always goes down smooth for me. A lot of greasy burgers but esp the fries do not as well these days though after eating healthier. I guess i need to strengthen my digestion enzymes to where it does not cause a problem! My problem is instant though, never delayed, before it hits my stomach even. Getting much better!
