I am a little confused about my blood type. I've never officially had an absolute answer about what type I am. My moms O- and my dads A+. I believe I read in one of the books that out of those two types if a child was made it would be an A because it takes two type O's to make O blood. By that theory I would be an A. I ordered an eldoncard kit and did it slightly incorructly, I didn't put enough blood on it because I didn't know about "milking" it out of my finger. Besides that the cards are kind of confusing to read. I seem to have personality traits from both types as well. I've been trying, a little unsuccessfully, to go by the A diet. Its been hard since I was traditionally raised on meat and didn't care for many veggies. Getting used to trying more variety but I still crave meat. Anyway I started wondering and pulled out the eldoncard. I looked at examples on the net and compared it to mine. I'm being more convinced that I could be O+ from comparisons. Is it possible I could put a picture of my eldencard on here and get opinions? I know a blood test would clear it up, I just haven't made any time for it. Would greatly appreciate feedback

Ok, the anti A is what threw me, it kinda looked like there were little dots (agglutination) in it like the anti D (obvious agglutination). Does this look like O+ or A+?

Rachel, you can just as easily be an O as an A, since your A parent probably has a recessive O which you could have received. Why not just bite the bullet and get a path. test?

What your blood type is can be anybody's guess. I'm A+, Older Bro is O+, Younger Bro is O-. Go figure...

Personally, I think the easiest way to find out is to go donate a pint.

It does look like you are Type A+, although as you say, there really isn't enough "color" to see well.

I would redo the test.

Too much water, not enough blood, it looks like.

When you put the blood onto the little stir sticks make sure it is a good sized drop and you transfer. If you smear it is hard to get enough; you want a big drop to touch the stick and transfer but do not press the stick against the finger, only the slightest touch is needed.

Wish I was right with you I would do the test for you!

I take the card and tilt it a bit for at least a minute sometimes it takes a few minutes to really show up well.

It is definitely possible for an A and an O to produce an O child. It's even possible for two As to produce an O child. If two Os have a child, then type O is the only possibility. That might be what you heard that confused you.

Looking at your card, I can't tell either. I think you need to redo the test, either with another Eldon card or through a lab. If you donate blood, you can find out your blood type that way. You may or may not be able to get your doctor to order a blood type test with whatever labwork you need at your next physical exam.

It doesn't look like you scratched the chemicals that is on the card enough and rubbed it around the tiny bit of water and the blood you add.

Or if you have ever been in the hospital, or had surgery, or a baby Call the dr you went to or are going to and ask if they have your blood type.

Or if you have copies of things look at them first, they might tell you.

If you was a premie, I believe you would be able to find out, also.
