I have recently discovered Dr. D'Adamo's blood type diet (about 2 months ago), and I have found some success with it. As a type O, I am a little confused with the whole Ezekial bread thing. Can I eat it if it contains sprouted wheat? The brand I have gotten is Food for Life Ezekial 4:9. Does anyone know if that is safe for an O to eat? Is there an Ezekial bread brand someone recommends?

Is spelt bread okay?

And can I actually buy Essene bread somewhere?

Any help/info folks can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Food for Life Ezekial bread has added gluten, so it is definitely not the best for Type O, but is better than standard wheat bread for someone transitioning onto the diet...

I don't know of another brand of Ezekial bread.

Spelt flour / products is Neutral (unless there are avoid ingredients included), unless you are O Non-Secretor - where it is an avoid.

Essene bread is quite often in the freezer section of the health food store, although again, you need to read the ingredients to verify that the specific product you are buying is compliant (enough to meet your goals).

Most Blood Type O people find that it is better to avoid bread or make their own foccacia-style bread with compliant ingredients.

I don't eat much bread anymore.  I would rather utilize my carbohydrate servings eating brown rice, oatmeal or quinoa...

Hello, for what its worth Ezekiel english muffins don't (at least didn't) have the added gluten. It's been a year since I bought any so that may have changed.
