I'm Blood type B+ and chicken is absolutely avoided for this blood type because of the agglutinating lectin in its muscle tissue, which attack the bloodstream and potentially lead to stokes and immune disorders. Now, my concern is that if chicken soup needs also to be avoided for Blood Type B+. |

Welcome fellow B
Chicken soup never made me feel as sick as actual chicken did, but I still avoid it. Just because you don’t notice an effect doesn’t mean it isn’t working against you in the long run. |

Turkey works in ANY recipe calling for chicken. Since I have a type B family member, I've stopped serving chicken and use a lot of turkey. I make a lot of turkey soup. |

Yes, the lectin leaches into the broth as the muscle tissue cooks. |

I have a friend who is an AB. She always thought it was a coincidence that every time she ate chicken she had to make a mad dash for the bathroom. When I told her about chicken and B/ABs she said Oh Of Course! light bulb time . |

Chicken broth is very nutritous ...i make it when my kids are sick and add the broth to rice instead of plain water..yum |

I suggested the BTD book to an older client i was counseling, who said his BT was B. He told me he started feeling much better just by cutting the chicken from his diet. He was amazed. |

Chicken makes me sick. I tried Dr. Abravanel's Body Type Diet in an effort to restore equilibrium and became so ill - the diet called for chicken twice a day and tomatoes, as well as garbanzos. I was so, so sick. I literally thought that there was a serious problem when I almost passed out when leaving the gym. It got so bad that when I would put chicken or tomatoes near my mouth and try to swallow them, they'd come right back up. I noticed this before when I used to make gazpacho and spinach with garbanzos and lentils with chorizo - I could eat the dishes for one or two days, then I could no longer without feeling ill.
Thank goodness I do not like chicken. I like how I feel when I do not eat tomatoes, garbanzos, lentils, etc...although, it can be a landmine when going to people's homes to eat or even out. It is amazing how many places use chicken stock or chicken, tomato products, etc. |
