I'm confused. I'm an 'O' and the only beneficial bread listed is Essene Bread. The breads to be avoided are wheat breads including sprouted wheat breads. However, my research shows that essene bread is made from sprouted wheat. Am I missing something?

sprouted if fully, is ok for you

use typebase for all available food values
button above

commercially sprouted wheat breads are not always fully sprouted or have added wheat flour to the mix, no worries
those you should avoid

we learn to read ingredients here

If you try Essene bread you will note that the texture is very different than most breads labeled as "sprouted wheat."

Essene Bread is made by sprouting grains and/or seeds, then grinding the sprouts and shaping into flat loaves and baked on low heat.  It should be in the freezer at Whole Foods.  It may be called Manna Bread.

Be sure to read the label because there are several varieties and you wouldn't want to take home something with avoids by accident!

Thanks - ya, I know it can be called manna bread - But what is the difference B/n Essene bread and Ezekeil bread if both are sprouted?

I have been coaching an O who is just getting started. She swears that WF does not have it. And the silly thing is that I was there today in the bread freezer, but I was looking for millet bread for me. Didn't even check for her.

Bad Coach! Bad Coach!

Most whole foods have both Ezekiel and manna bread.

Once you have tasted them, you will never get the two confused!  They are very different products.

Ezekiel is made from a mixture of a variety sprouted grains and legumes, as prescribed in the biblical passage Ezekiel 4.9. The grains and legumes are sprouted and then dried out. The dried sprouts are ground into a flour. This flour is used to make bread with yeast and a few other ingredients. After the dough is allowed to rise it is baked like conventional breads. The product resembles other whole grain loafs of bread.

Essene is a bread based on type of bread supposedly made in the Essene communities. It is made from just a few (often just one) sprouted grains mashed up formed into a loaf and thrown in a low temperature ovens and cooked at a low temperature for a number of hours.  The texture feel of this bread might be described a brick.  Whole foods normally sells several varieties. Some of these varieties include dried fruits, nuts, ... to make the product more appealing to the modern palette.

Here is a picture of the manna bread packages, to help you find them in the freezer case. The loaves are smaller than regular loafs of bread:
