For Blood  Group A Goji Berries is Benifical.  Must try making a smoothie  one day.  They say Goji Berries have more vitamin C than a orange.

I put frozen, fresh Goji's in my smoothies daily.  They were a beneficial for me as a Hunter; they're now a neutral for me via SWAMI, but I really like them so I still add them in with other beneficial fruits.  Glad they're not an Avoid!

If you can have them, they're definitely worth a try.

the new I phone values you can consider the most updated after typebase for BTD

Christos Minas,
you might want to get yourself an iphone application if following btd

or get a swami, or start by following the basic gtd in your book......godji values are in both

Lola, do you recomend that everyone follow the Swami?  Everyones first port of call is BTD, but should everyones goal be to follow the Swami diet?  After taking test ( BTD, online) I have found out that Genotype diet is best for me. I recomend everyone takes this! But just interested to know should we be aiming for Swami ?

I' m hoping to grow my own Goji bushes, great way to save on money.
Especially as I want them in smoothies each morning. Might grow some Mangos too.

that s entirely up to the individual

whatever you choose, needs to feel comfortable, so you adapt it as part of a lifestyle

SWAMI is the most customized diet. It has millions of different possible diets. The blood type (win nonsecretor status) has 8 different diets, The GenoType diet has 6 variations.

If one of the diets published in the books works well for you, you do not need SWAMI.

But for anyone that needs or wants a more customized diet program, SWAMI will provide a diet specific to their health history and particular needs.

MIfHI                            I follow a SWAMI diet.

EB,
From watching people's postings of their SWAMI GT %, the largest % I've seen is around 55%.  As such, the most people are matching their primary Genotype is 55%.  I think is powerful motivation to move toward SWAMI.  I have only resisted due to economic reasons  - and that I'm doing a tremendous amount of healing using the book Warrior diet.

might it also be that certain foods giving you a reaction, might in fact not be among the beneficials using a swami?

think it is worth giving it a go, and perhaps your healing will be thankful!

On one hand, getting a SWAMI right away means that you start off following the "best diet for you" without having to get used to the BTD, then change to GTD and get used to all new foods, then change again with SWAMI. You adapt to the new diet once and you're done. OTOH, it is an added expense (especially since you can get the information from the books for free from your local public library and/or the online Typebase) and not everybody *needs* it. Many people do beautifully on "by the book" BTD or GTD, and never feel the need to take things a step further.

Doing BTD first also gets you familiar with the blood type foods, which may help you help others who are interested in BTD. If all you know is your own SWAMI, you won't be able to advise friends about which foods they should or shouldn't eat.

Eagle Beach:
Goji Berries for planting can be obtained from Horizon Seeds, an organic herb seed company. They also have plants of most of what they carry, since they raise the seed themselves. Richo is a fount of information.
Companion Plants, a local herb nursery specializing in medicinals, has some goji berry plants in stock. Peter is a great guy and easy to talk to. He grew my Horizon seeds out for me last year. Almost all the seeds germinated. http://www.companionplants.com

Wish I had started w/ SWAMI before starting BT and then GT plans.  Personally, I would have saved myself 8 weeks of significant changes as I transitioned from one plan to another.  Things that were bene's for me on BTD and GTD are now avoids on SWAMI, and vice versa--I was also avoiding some SWAMI rec'd bene's for the past 8 weeks.

Quoted from ruthiegirl

not everybody *needs* it. Many people do beautifully on "by the book" BTD or GTD, and never feel the need to take things a step further.

I don't truly know whether I "needed" it or not but I sure am glad that I've done it now.  It's truly a hybridized blend of diets in my personal case, so none of the ones I would have followed using the books is close to what I'm doing on SWAMI.  Too early to tell how I'll fair w/ SWAMI, but it's nice to have a custom, personalized plan.  I know it's not free, but I think it's a no-brainer for $65!

The Goji seeds sprout within a season, and while they aren't super fast growing here (southeast OH, zone 6) they are pretty vigorous for me. I have a lot of shade where I am and they have not borne fruit yet. They do even better for Peter.

If you do FACEBOOK, Horizon has a page and it's easy to get on there and get answers to questions. Just tell them where you live so they can give you an idea how goji will do in your location.

I am not eating a lot of goji berries yet because I don't have an organic source-- main reason why I am growing them!
