On the home page we have members recipes . I. Chose option O hoping to see recipe that's benifical for O group. It's very mixed and lot of cases show zero for O group.  Would it be a idea to separate which recipes gives the most benefical for each group.  So when I click on option O.  That would only give me the best results for option O.  Just an idea.

Some of the recipes very interesting.  I love stews, so. can anyone give me a Beef or Lamb stew with plenty of Benifits for O's ?

Is it possible to make Mana bread in a bread making machine ?

I love curry and rice, is there a good benifical recipe for O's ?

we work on that daily......people submit new recipes constantly, and those eventually get edited, time permitting.....

if you look closely, practically all recipes, if you choose one in the list, can be tweaked to make it compliant.

I have had great ideas, following a recipe for ABs for example, and making it O nonnie, explorer compliant for me.

recipes in fact overlap, just like BTs and GTs......be flexible!

use the search feature on recipe central, then use the find button with the word you are particularly interested in, you ll definitely find what you need....a little searching on your part is advised
same goes for the general search window up above.....so much to read and homework to be done

Lastly, when we retire to Carribean, I hope to grow fruit trees, and make my own juice. Now if you mix say Guava juice with Mango or Goji juice, will it still retain all it's benifical qualities ?

Thank goodness I found the blood diet and this wonderful forum so I can lead a healthy life.

In the blood type diet or GenoType diet, if you combine beneficial ingredients the combination is still beneficial.

If you combine products with even a single avoid ingredient the combination is considered to be an avoid.

----

In SWAMI there are combination of ingredients that combine well together. But this is not the case with  the blood type diet or GenoType diet.

Lola answered this pretty well, I am just going to add that when I want to make something, I will look at my beneficial list and mentally put things together in my mind.  If I need help with amounts, I will try to find an existing recipe and make substitutions for what I want to use.  Ultimately, I need to try the new recipe and then adjust as necessary to fine-tune the flavors.  Most of the combos I throw together are so "different" that most people wouldn't enjoy them - quite often, my family doesn't want to smell them cooking.      The girls are different type and don't appreciate my Warrior food!!!

I have done a curried rice with peas...
1 1/4 c. water
1/2 t. curry powder - I found one w/ all ingredients at least Neutral for me.
1/2 c. brown rice
1/4 c. frozen peas

Bring water, spice and peas to boil, add rice, turn fire to low and cover.
Allow to cook until rice is done.

Variants:
Add a bit of onion or garlic, fresh or powder.
Replace rice w/ quinoa.
Replace peas w/ spinach or brussels sprouts.  Increase veggies to taste...

Only problem with a stew for O is the potato, carrot and corn, I add yellow, orange and red chopped peppers for color that is missing from corn and carrots.  Sweet potatoes and spinach with the usual garlic, onion, green beans finish the mix.  Turkey meatballs work well too.

Great ideas. Does Lamb meatballs work?
When adding sweet potato to stew, would you cut into quarters the same as you would normal potatos?
Can beef stock be added? (the ones you get in supermarkets? Is oxo cubes etc?

As long as the ingredients are compliant, the combination will be.

Yes, if you cut the sweet potatoes into approximately the same size chunks as normal potatoes would be, they will work fine in a stew.

Purchased beef stock would require you to verify the ingredients to make sure of compliance.

Don't know oxo cubes...  Again, refer to the above statement about compliance of purchased products...

Okra I love it, but a little goes a long way. I grow my own and like to use the little ones, say about 1- 2in at most.  It will make for a slimy meal if you use to much. I however pick mine off the vine ( the small ones) and eat them raw) these are not slimy so they must get that way as they become larger. A three to four inch one that hasn't gotten woody, maybe only use 6-8 in a stew pot, sliced. Any larger are usually too woody to eat. I dry cut open and use the seeds in soup. If you've ever eaten the Campbell's Vegetarian Vegetable soup I believe you might have notice the 1/8 purple seeds. I believe they are okra seeds.
I've never been able to make fried okra to my satisfaction, and store bought are wheat coated.

I use slice okra, in my scramble eggs, curry whatever, just remember a little goes a long way. One or two 3in okra with 2eggs is what I use for myself.

For okra, which I very much enjoy eating but I don't like that slime, I enjoy mine sliced and boiled in tbsp olive oil, a half cup of lemon, and water.
The acid in lemon cuts the slime.
Have some ice water in a bowl ready.
Once they are a bright green, drain the hot water and quickly drench them in the ice water to stop the cooking process.

You can either serve them in a salad. Eat them as a snack, or with dinner.

the biggest problem for me right now is bread that's actually tastes nice? Mana or Essene bread sounds like a tough one to make.  All the bread we buy in shops have too many avoids.

If only there was a recipe for our bread making machine?

Hiya Eagle Beach

If you can have spelt, give this bread machine recipe a whirl - I used to love it back in my pre-SWAMI days when I was allowed spelt (mine is the 2nd post with the recipe).

I buy frozen sliced okra, heat up a cast iron pot with a little ghee, and toss in the okra (still frozen), saute it for a few minutes, then put a lid on it and let it steam for a couple of minutes. When okra is hot all the way through I salt to taste. I like it plain, but it's also good over rice, or in a stew. When I used to eat turkey, I would add okra to browned, seasoned ground turkey meat for a faux turkey chile stew with onions.
