This is so cool.
I've been taking 3,000 mcg of methyl B-12 for the last three mornings (today is the 3rd), and I can't believe how much better I feel.
After I religiously gave up gluten 6 months ago, I noticed the skin on my hands got better (not as dry), but I didn't know why. I guess it was I was absorbing vitamins better. I hadn't really noticed it until I started the methyl B-12 this week. My hands are so much softer.
Another thing is that I'm not super duper compliant with the rest of the GTD, sadly, because I'm still drinking coffee (I know!). And, I know this is TMI, but I have my coffee in the morning and I immediately have to go #2 most days. With the methyl B-12...that's completely gone. Taking tons of cyano B-12 didn't have this kind of impact.
The last thing is the sleep. I find, with the methyl B-12, I wake up, on my own, after slightly less than 8 hours of sleep. Before, I needed 10-12 hours a day and I was still tired. I could not get rest.
Oh, and the neck pain? Better than it's ever been. I was at 80% with Physical Therapy. Now I'm at more like 90-95%.
I'm sold. |

Sounds great! I will have to get the Methyl B12 as I have been using the cyano for a long time with few results. |

Try it! I'm surprised that it makes that much of a difference, but it really does.
I guess the other forms of B-12 need to get converted in the body to the appropriate form before being absorbed. If you have problems anywhere in your system where you're not absorbing things as well (let's say candida problems), you wouldn't get what you need. |

I don't absorb cyano B12 through my gut at all so I need to take supplements (due to having had gastric bypass surgery). So far the only sublingual forms of B12 I have found have been the cyano. Will methyl B12 be absorbed better for me? |

I have a question about vitamin B. Can you take too much vitamin B? Or will your body just get rid of any excess. I've always taken a Vit B supplement because I read it's good support for your thyroid, but if I start taking B12 together with that. Will it beee too much? |

I was told if I was taking a single one of the B. Let us say B1 I should also take a complex. The idea is to keep the ratio's in balance. Unless you have supervision by a doc. (blood test) But if they are in balance and you have more than you need you'll just wash out the extra. |
