Hi Everyone,

Im a newbie here and getting a little confused.  Im Rhesus Negative and wondered if somebody could tell me the proper things to eat.  I have ordered the eatright4yourtype book and eagerly awaiting its arrival but until then I do not know what I should/shouldnt be eating.  I dont know if you need to know any other details but Im a 42 year old woman and weigh 160lbs (and a little overweight).  I wanted to lose a little weight but mostly I want to feel healthy.  Having had a few operations over the years(ovary removed, gall bladder removed) i hope this "new way of eating" will benefit me health wise re asking about what I should eat.

Thanks for your time

More important than your Rh factor in determining diet, is your ABO blood type.

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

again, once you are certain of your blood type......donate at the red cross perhaps, if your doctor doesn t know, or get the home typing kit, from C sharp s link

The most recent rating of a food can be found using typebase:

http://www.dadamo.com/typebase4/typeindexer.htm

as you can well see, there are 4 blood types, that s it, and you can only be one of them

Hi soozi...Welcome Just for an example re the secretor or non... If you were a non secretor & wanted to lose weight, you may want to stay away from that good ole Scottish tradition Oats...Just for for an example... so it's useful to find out, if you can...

Welcome to the forums soozi.  Pull up a chair and stay for a while.  There are tons of very knowledgeable, friendly caring members here that relish the opportunity to share info, hold your hand and help guide you.

Fortunately for you, your BT is the most common type out there so you're in the company of many O's here.

As for as your secretor/non-secretor status, don't let it concern you too much right now.  80-85% of the population are secretors so it's safe to follow that route initially.  It's a great idea to get the testing done, when you can, so you can fine tune the dietary needs of your particular situation.

Again, welcome and know that you didn't stumble upon this community by chance!

i hope this doesnt sound daft but does Rhesus Negative D make me  O negative??  I know that I had to get a D-immunuglobin injection when I had my daughter so does that make sense.  Please forgive my ignorance.

now that we all know your blood type, you might want to decide
which system you want to follow

http://www.dadamo.com/which_diet_is_right.htm

your book ERFYT is the book which started this dietary revolution so no worries, it s a must read to get the basics

Like I said somewhere else - there is no such thing as a dumb question... we are all still learning, some are just nearer the top of the class... (not me yet - I'm still somewhere in the middle - I think
Never feel silly soozi, there are still times others learn off newbies questions etc & none of us look down on anyone!!
