I don't know what else to call them, but pimples. I've been getting these little spots of red whatever they are since I've gotten older.
Does anyone know what and why? Will the BTD help? |

It could be this: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/petechiae/MY01104/DSECTION=causesHow is your paletet count? I had a time there where they started to appear a lot in my abdomen, that was when I had low liver enzymes and b12 deiciency (vegan diet was doing it). Had them checked by doc and he said nothing to worry, normal aging thing. I forgot about them since I started this journey about a year ago (around August last year) and come to think of it, I have not noticed them getting any worse. If I remember well, you get like an itch when they first appear, then they are there. You may want to have yours checked by a professional doc just to make sure they are OK. In the meantime, be true to your type and stay positive and in contact with this community ... |

Yes the location of these spots would be most helpful. My first guess without seeing you is rosacea. My second guess would be cherry angioma's. Just guesses, more information would help. |

I just have a three on my abdomen, and two on my left thigh, as far as I can see. Don't know about my platelet count. Haven't been to a medical doctor in 7 years or so. |

How does that help? Are the spots from poor circulation or poor detoxing? |

I have a couple of those cherry angiomas. For years I've been trying to figure them out and no answer. |

I have TONS of cherry angiomas (they are basically broken blood vessels). I've noticed I get a lot more depending on my diet and stress levels. The good news is that they are perfectly harmless The bad news is that they may or may not disappear. Both my sons had cherry angioma birthmarks, one went away within the first year, the other is slowly getting smaller and lighter in color (he's 2 1/2). |

Narnia.. my sis has them> there is no issue..
but 7 years without a doc is forign to my way of thinking.. even healthy I would see someone.. for hormones for meopausal questions for bones and other whatever...
how many would agree or think I am over reacting??
amynell2693 I am surprized at your age to have them and especially a lot of them.. try dry brushing .. but gently.. directional.. with the skin.. are you sure nothing else is going on as you are so young?? |
| When I see other peoples medicines schedule-I am happy to be here taking care of my health I only wish to drop weight more easily-life would be perfection Being 'here' creates understanding. BTD prevents damage from eating avoids. Thanks Dr D & your sups - all support and friendships |

Thanks for the concern, Goldie! My dermatologist has looked at them (b/c I didn't know what they were) and said everything is fine. Sitting here I can literally count 24 spots, and that's only what I can see w/o looking too hard! I have noticed more of them popping up when I'm super stressed out. I even have some that are very tiny (about the size of a needle tip), some of those have gotten bigger over the years and some haven't. I can't do the dry brushing b/c my skin is so sensitive. Possibly after being on the GTD long enough to fix some damage I could give it a try. As of right now I've got rosacea, eczema, and psoriasis, and I get a reaction from everything topically applied. |

I popped a few of them with a pin and squeezed out the blood. Just didn't like looking at them. Seems to be fine to do that.
I have been seeing a naturopath. Not a regular med. Dr. |

I would keep a close eye on the areas you punctured - infection is a big risk now. Best to just leave them alone. Where are the spots located? |

Your ND should be able to do blood work for you. I also agree with amynell that you should watch for infection now. Popping them doesn't seem like the best method of treatment. |
