California is on the Pacific coast. Check a world map to see where the other countries are located. I'm pretty sure Morocco and Poland would be Atlantic, but I'm not positive, and I have no clue about Portugal. |

I have read the sardines that come from the Portugal area are the best in terms of quality. My guess is they would be processed close to their origin although some fish from Alaskan waters are flash frozen and shipped to China for processing because it is cheaper. Find out where the fish are caught. |

Portugal is right above Spain.....that would be Europe, so NOT the Pacific!! including all our east coast Remember, Europe is Atlantic everything else exotic is Pacific.....Including all the west coast of our continent Poland has no coast, or at least neither Atl or Pac, it does have the north sea though......I bet those sardines are good! Morocco would be northern Africa or South of Spain, Gibraltar is in between, and yes, has a coast, toward the Atlantic |

Along the same thought process of Atlantic vs Pacific...
I was in the grocery store looking for Pacific Salmon because I'm not supposed to have Atlantic. The funny thing was... all the salmon was Atlantic and I live on the Pacific coast! I finally asked the lady that runs the meat and fish department ( she knows my family and I've been talking with her about BTD stuff every once in awhile when I go in ) and she didn't understand why they would be sending us Atlantic. So she called head office of the grocery chain and asked. Apparently, they FLY it in!!! I guess the grocery chain is getting salmon for that much cheaper on the east coast than here on the west that it's more cost effect to fly it in.
Of course here's my second thought on the whole thing... maybe Pacific is cleaner and less full of toxic waste because there is less traffic in the water over on this side than there is on the east coast. Like right now there is a oil spillage issue once again on the east coast. Hmmm, and all I wanted was some nice yummy salmon! I guess I should just go for sushi! My sushi guy only carries Pacific! Yay!!! |

Not all sardines taste the same. Skinless and boneless in water or olive oil are easier for me to eat. Try different brands and sardines from different countries until she finds one that she likes. Some people won't ever like the taste unless it has lots of raw chopped onion and a "fake mayo" like sour cream or yogurt. |

I really like the taste of sardines the first time, but unfortunately when I eat them I end up tasting them again and again throughout the day . |

I'm a non-taster...maybe that's why I like the taste of sardines? My dad is AB and also likes sardines. Is it possible that super tasters or tasters have a hard time eating sardines? Maybe I might make a poll... |

Does the company have a website? I like going to the websites of some of the food companies I buy from. The url might be on the can or packaging, or you could do a Google search. |

I was in the grocery store looking for Pacific Salmon because I'm not supposed to have Atlantic. The funny thing was... all the salmon was Atlantic and I live on the Pacific coast! ...
Atlantic salmon is a particular species: Salmo salar If you are buying Atlantic salmon in a grocery store Atlantic salmon usually means farm raised. The fish farm for Atlantic Salmon can be located in either the Pacific or Atlantic. Wild Pacific Salmon is only go to be available during certain seasons. Fresh wild Salmon is usually considerably more expensive than farm raised Atlantic Salmon, so restaurants and grocery stores may prefer to supply the more economical fish. Wild Salmo salar is now found in Pacific (It has escaped from farms in the Pacific) and in the Atlantic. |
