I wonder how other Warriors heal. It can take up to 2 months for a cut or scrape to heal on my lower legs and feet.

I think a clarification should be made to physical inability from injury NOT cosmetics (skin etc). That would be more useful information.

For example muscle soreness etc for me dissipates incredibly fast. My tailbone got bruised and healed months before expected time. Cosmetics of skin from a blister? Not important, not imposing on my ability to live.

Paul, what did you have in mind:  just internal, or external too?

I mostly thought of external healing, as well, because that is what is most visible. As far as I know, I don't have any internal problems that need healing (or so I think  ). So, if I get a cut, it's more likely to take a while to heal, and then will end up being a scar (although it will fade in time), or at least a visible "heal" for months. I don't know my secretor status, but I am Rh+.

I had external in mind, but would healing from internal physical trauma be any different? Is the musculoskeletal system stronger? Is bone repair faster?

Healing of the digestive system is a much more complicated issue: white lines, celiac, deflect, eating habits, stress, etc.

Healing internally from a broken toe, and a hip injury in a serious fall, took me about a year.

The most likely events of healing needed would be muscle tissue. Next followed by ligaments and tendons. Then bones. Skin means nothing because the bleeding will stop in non-secreters very quickly. You could have scars from head to toe but still be running in the wild hunting and gathering.

Intestinal tissue would not be at threat if you were eating the only food that worked for you like say if you lived where all your ancestors happen to live. Strains of work load on the body are what would apply to you.

The connection to this thread and my thread make it so I need to point this stuff out.

O+nonnie here and yes I heal quickly. I had minor surgery less than a month ago, resulting in a 1" x 0.5" open wound in a very bacteria-prone area. I had no antibiotics by request (although the Dr. would have given them had I not specified) but I did have an allergic reaction (rash, swelling) to the one dose of painkiller I was given.  

3 weeks after surgery I was discharged. The Dr. was very supportive of my aversion to medication, and most surprised that "despite that"   I had healed a lot quicker than he expected.

whithin days all might be healed  with little wounds... but the reactivation of my right hand till the point of todays that I am using it normally took more than a year..... ...

I've always been injury prone (explorer trait, I think). Thanks to BTD, I heal pretty well, a little faster than most.  That used to not be the case, pre-BTD.  From scrapes to bruises, to joint injuries.

I think it's due to the anti-inflammatory effect of the diet, especially for the reactive types.  I used to hurt a joint, feel a bit better, then eating any of the major avoids would cause the inflammation to flare up again and again.  Bromelain is my friend too.

Yes it is a great achievement!  You have also broken through a level of self-limitation.  

Sorry I'm not a confirmed nonnie, and haven't the finances at the moment to find out.  But I'm really sure I am with the health conditions and thick clotting blood that I have and how the Explorer diet is making me feel dynamite!  

When I had my emergency caesarian due to HELLP syndrome, I was anaemic with hardly any platelets left, liver enzymes up, kidneys leaking; Despite all that, on discharge a week later, the Dr noted "You're a good healer".  My scar healed very quickly.  It may have helped that I was meditating and resting as much as possible in the noisy hospital with the help of music through headphones and wanted to get out of there ASAP.  

As a tomboy kid falling off bicycles, scraped my knees many times and they always healed up quickly in a few days if I left them alone.  

I usually heal pretty fast after an injury.  I experimented (sort of) when I crushed my left index finger a few weeks back.  After the stupid injury I wraped my finger with a frozen gel pack right away and kept pressure on it for about 30 minutes.  It hurt and was not very pleasant while my body went into mild shock during this same time.  I made sure I iced it the next few hours on and off until all of the heat was gone.
I was surprised that new skin had formed within 48 hours.  The finger still has a long way to go, but it started the healing process much faster.

Kudos on your healing finger...  Proper care of any injury is part of the key to healing faster.  Another part is to have all of the internal workings functioning properly to facilitate the removal of all of the waste products of the injury.

Thanks guys, this is the same finger I crushed real bad 2 years ago that took a full year to completely heal.
This is also the same finger I sliced the inside tip and had to get 5 stiches back in 1995 .
Sometimes being a nonnie is a pain in the  ss.

I absolutely heal faster since I've been a "follower".  This was the most surprising benefit that I experienced...I never expected that this would happen since I used to be a very slow healer...I'm referring to paper-cuts & the like.

At my healthiest, (as a warrior eating vegetarian but long before I knew this was a good thing to do...), I burned my right hand with hot oil. I had 2nd and 3rd degree burns over the entire back of the hand and in the web between the thumb and index finger. The skin peeled off and looked like boiled peeled tomato. (Yup, really gross.) My doctor talked to me about coming back in for skin grafts as the summer progressed and gave me an appointment for 10 days down the road to see how I was doing.

Ten days later, after self hypnosis, aloe vera, and vitamin e oil, I went back to the doctor with a healed hand. All new skin. I saw his jaw drop (I thought it was just an expression but it really isn't,) and he told me to forget about the skin grafts and coming back in as I was doing fine. To my question about whether I was healing faster than normal, he just shook his head and said, "Everyone heals at different rates." I took that to mean, yes.

I heal like that.

I’ve had a couple of doctors’ comment on how fast I healed from removal of a benign tumor in my left ovary & a benign tumor in my left leg.  I heal from cuts and scrapes rather quickly also.

BTD is powerful.....

my hub doesn t operate on smokers, for starts......he makes them quit first, works on their detox and diet, then operates if he considers the skin responding favorably.

I recently had some oral surgery for a tooth loosened from my martial art training days. The oral surgeon later said that 'I had healed like a twenty-year old'.
