My 9yr old daughter was diagnosed with Lymes Disease 2 years ago, she had it for 2 years before that. She was unable to take antibodics for the Lymes because she is allergic to antibodics so we went the Homeopathy/Herbal route. After searcing the web and staying up late at night to read the stories of lymes, my heart sank as I felt so bad that my little girl had a disease that probably won't go away. I was determined to heal her with herbs and homeopathy the way our body was created to heal itself. I found TEASEL ROOT EXTRACT to be one of the useful treatments for Lymes Disease. My daughter took 3drops three times a day for 3 months straight and are happy to say that she is lymes disease FREE for 8 months already. No more stomaches at night, no more anxiety and no more sore muscles and crying because she was in pain. I know how bad this disease can be for people and wanted to share with everyone our success using the teasel root extract. |

TEASEL ROOT EXTRACT is worth a try when other remedies don't work. We tried several other herbal remedies and homeopathy remedies and she still had pain until we used the teasel and within 3 days of her on it, we knew it was working because her anxiety and stomaches at night went away right away and the pain in her legs went away within a week after being on it.. I ordered it from AVENA BOTANICALS. |

Borreliose/ lyme disease is expected to explode in Holland. In 2007 there were 2700 lyme bugs, 3300 in 2008 and 5800 in 2009 found in in a certain testarea..
It is stated that this lymebug is spreading throughout the Netherlands in a way that is inexplicable.
The lymebug is active in the months of May and June here in EU.
Good to know what other medications, besides antibiotics, can be taken.

My daughter had it twice as a toddler. Both times treated early with antibiotics. I still worry about it effecting her. |

The problem with LYMES is if you don't kill it all completely it will come back. Antibodics don't kill the virus its only a bandaid and once your immune system gets stressed or weak, the lymes will come back . I was told the spores stay stuck in your muscle tissues that is why so many people complain of muscle pain. It stays dormant or if you get bite again with a mosquito or tick that has the LYMES you will get it back. Keeping your daughter's immune system strong and healthy will help her to fight off any other diseases and keep the lymes from bothering her again. At least you know that Teasel root is out there if she gets it back again. |

Many people have Lymes and don't even know it. We found out through our chiropractor that my daughtter had lymes . He does muscle testing. The medical blood tests sometimes don't even detect it. You may have Lymes and don't even know it because you don't have systems occurring at the time. When I don't feel right, I always get checked to make sure I don't have it. |

I also suggest that you ask your Dad's physician to prescribe Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN). It is an FDA-approved drug (although not for cancer, which is what it's so effective for -- that's the FDA for you), and your doctor can prescribe it, no problem. 3mg taken at bedtime is the standard effective dosage for multiple myeloma. That amount is nontoxic, and has NO side effects. It activates the body's endorphins and natural killer cells & CD8 levels.

Found this and the linked thread very interesting.
Highly recommend Stephen Buhner's book "Healing Lyme"; he has done extensive research and has a well-developed herbal protocol.
I have spoken with a number of people from New England some of whom have multi-generational Lymes in their families and they found the book very very helpful.
Most mainstream doctors don't really know what they are dealing with.

How did you know?: What is this Tube, tube ,tube of which you speak? Thank you for these new Lyme protocol suggestions! Teasle root extract is that fine for type -O-s? A's? My first bout I used Pycnoginol(?) and Aloe Vera taken together after being told my Antibiotics were done or had done all they could do. I read that together they worked better than just pycnoginol alone. Also pycnoginol crosses the blood/brain barrier which Anti-b's do not. I was looking for "infrared sauna's and "hyperbaric chambers" to continue trying to beat it. Now I have it again and now since getting on the BTD the pycnoginol/Aloe sounds like it is an avoid. I'm still on Anti-b's but the muscle aches are persisting. Yesterday was a strange day for me on the internet but something came of it and I wanted to throw out a cross tie that occured to me. I recall the effects of the Pycnoginol as making the smell of sulfur somehow always present in my nostrils. For the first time on this forum I think I read that it, pycnoginol has heavy sulfur as a component, Now here is the flash...Some where else some miracle product including sulfur was touted and part of the promotional hype included the notion that sulfur stopped being available ever since agra-biz made growing things their way just about the only way. I don't know about that for sure but ..let me finish, this is another Lyme detail , taking extra sulfur by mouth was once a regimin used by sheep farmers in east Texas to keep ticks from wanting to bite. I know it's a leap from one thing Ticks to another, Spiroquetes(?) but I see the food as medicine as compromised if natuarlly present sulfur in food is no longer there and the spread of Lyme perhaps follows the path of the empty harvest so to speak. I'm reading -Our Stolen Future- and there are many explanations for our mess in there. I have to focus on Lyme right now. Thanks! iemnli iemnli |

LDN - low dose naltrexone - is an immune system supporter - and has been known to help people with various immune system associated problems - godle to find a doctor who perscribes it and is knowledgeable in it - not just any doc will do. |

Naltrexone is a bandaid for the LYMES symptoms only, it does not destroy the lymes spiros like the teasel does. Teasel root extract gets at the spiro's to detroy them and not cover them up like all the other medicines do. That is why people get lymes back if they quit taking the antibodics and all the other stuff as a bandaid to cover up the symptoms instead of killing the lymes spirochettes. |

The book I mentioned earlier in this thread is based not only on herbal information but on studies by microbiologists studying the disease. I doesn't just give herbal protocols, it discusses the 3 types of Lyme organisms, the coinfections that often accompany it, and lots of other information. If you or a loved one have this disease you will be doing yourself a favor to at least find it in your library and read it. |

I just found out I most likely have Lymes Disease. Thanks for all this help in this thread. I'm working with a clinic that specializes in Lymes. They've started me on an antiviral and antibiotics. In two weeks I have to take a very expensive test to find out if I have Lyme's and what other virus infection I have along with it. I'm so happy to find out there's a good book to get on the subject. |

The PROBLEM with chronic deseases they are chronic only until someone finds a cure,, then they become on illness easy gotten rid of.. the word chronic also means it is difficult to feel better,.. Lyme is one of the issues that will do us in.. so no standing water .. check kids who go outside .. and stay healthy..
|
| When I see other peoples medicines schedule-I am happy to be here taking care of my health I only wish to drop weight more easily-life would be perfection Being 'here' creates understanding. BTD prevents damage from eating avoids. Thanks Dr D & your sups - all support and friendships |

Is there another way to help without resorting to antiviral and antibiotics?
I have ordered the book mentioned above and I'm sure I'll be using some of the advice in that book as the clinic I go to uses herbal remedies as well as regular medical remedies. The first round of anti-biotics I'm taking is to get the Lyme active so the test I'll be taking in two weeks will pcik up the presense of Lyme disease better. Does that make sense? |
