Anyone have any hints on how to best collect saliva??

I sent mine in a few days ago so it's fresh in my mind! First, it took me about 15 minutes to get enough saliva and I think I am a pretty good salivator, or at least that is what my dentist tells me.

After activating saliva in my mouth, I put my lips to the tube and just slightly opened them in the center while they gently guided the saliva into the tube. I wrapped a tissue around the tube but didn't really have any leakage.

Eventually, I had enough for the sample. Good luck!

Drink plenty of water the day before, so that you are not dehydrated.

Thank you all for your suggestions! Very kind of you. I'll drink lots of water tomorrow and prepare to take at least 15 minutes the next day to gather the saliva. What glamor!

Although I followed the directions for adding an avatar, etc., I don't understand what the ribbons are and how you alter them, nor where the "Winter: Hidden Potential" came from under my avatar or how to change that. I'll catch on eventually!

I just did a secretor test as well... my question is where is the code to check on our results online? I don't know if it is on the box or somewhere else that I misplaced, can someone let me know how that worked for them? Thanks.

On the "Screen Request Form" you filled out there was a dettachment on the bottom. It instructed you to "cut at dotted line and keep for your records." That contained the code number. Maybe you didn't realize you should keep that portion.

I am looking at mine now and there is a phone number, however I don't know if it is anything more than the main number but here it is:

Sent off my saliva test today. Can't wait to find out my secretor status, and therefore my gene type.

I thought winter had something to do with my age!  
I waited way too long to do my secretor test. I'm glad you are able to get it done.

, I actually dreamed last night that I was taking the secretor test and having trouble producing enough saliva!

But in real life, that's never a problem. I was at the dentist one day having a tooth filled and I told them I was a big salivator. Unfortunately my mouth had some stuff in it at the time and they thought I was sharing that I was a big salad eater. Which explained their perplexed looks. After they suctioned the massive quantities of  saliva out of my mouth, I repeated myself and we all had a big laugh about it.
