I have not been on here for a while but it seems like a lot of the old posts are gone. I use to have one that discussed Weightloss for Blood Type A’s. Well can any one help? I am a blood type A+ Pear shapped woman. I weigh198. I have started a 30min excersie program 4 days a week. Eating 5 small meals a day.

Have you measured your self for the Genotype Diet? it may be a better fit to meet your weight loss goals.

Increasing your vegetable portions will help quite a bit.

RealGolden, I am also an A+ and I know how you feel. I have lost some and am finally down to about 185 and the famous pear shape most of us A's have but I find that even though the excerise is good for some things like toning muscles for an A stress is our biggest enemy. Meditation, yoga, or quiet relaxation is a great way to relieve the stress. Just remember that we take longer to relieve stress than the other blood types. As long as the stress is there the weight just stays put. Two 20 minute calming breaks a day will help to control the stress. Yes, and the more veggie I eat the more I lose (not to say you should over eat on veggies). I am not that fond of vegetables so I don't always eat what I should. The weeks that I am faithful to the balance of the diet the more I lose. The Geno diet may be your answer as it does seem to work on weight more than the BTD. Watch your portions and beneficals and avoids and balance the foods per amounts alotted each day/week using as many beneficials as possible. I have dealt with a lot of stress in the past 4 years. Three years ago I was up to about 230 so it has come off some but in stages. I have a goal of at least 30 more pounds off. I am at a plateau at the moment (and have been for several months) but noticed a couple of pounds off this week so I hope that I am in the down stage again. I wish you luck and remember 2 calming breaks a day. Thanks to Dr. D and the link to the http://www.Pandora.com link last week which is like a radio station just for you personally. I use soothing music to relax and maybe that is why the pounds came off this week. Nice thought.

I don't think so as that determines to some degree your ancestrial heritage if I am correct. That in turn tells more about your history and the type of foods eaten by your ancestors and more of what you would benefit with. That is what makes us all different. Are you a A from Asia or an A from Europe, etc. I couldn't believe all the B type foods on my Geno Teacher diet vs. BTD of a A+. Then when I studied the map and my heritage I saw where it was coming from. My heritage is Germany and Scandinavian. There is a line down through Europe close to these areas that divides Europe. The West side were mostly A's and the East side were mostly B's. Now you know that everyone didn't stay on their side of the lines   so I imagine that there were a lot of A & B's who had children but not necessarily AB's. Just like some O's have a lot of A characteristics and Some A's have a lot of O characteristics. It is a way to see the whole picture of each person. So long answer-short answer. Yes the measurements are pretty important.

For me, three meals a day, and even some snacking, was doing the trick to slim me down.

I'd take my dogs on a twenty minute walk, twice a day. Also, taking Gingseng and Gingkobolboa, cutting out the soda altogether, and having ginger in tea form with each meal.

All of this really slimmed me down.

Eating fish three times a week also helped.
