There was a request in the genotype percentages thread to know genotype percentages by blood type. Here is a survey. Note that once you have voted you cannot change a value. |

I’m a B non Explorer and my son is a B sec Nomad.
Do you think the board statistics will reflect general population statistics? Even though B non-secretors are a small percentage in the general population, we are big board posters. |

No! It is much too small of a sample size and we have not controlled the sampleing in anyway to eliminate factors that could be bias the result. |

I'd include my type B Nomad husband, but I don't know his secreter status. He was very obviously a Nomad--no question there. I told him he was a Nomad before we measured him. World traveler that he is (before we were married, of course, back when he could spend as much money as he wanted flying to Bali). He just rolled his eyes and said, "Is there a poll about type Bs and their dislike of being confined to a silly genotype or their hatred of taking tests to categorize themselves?" And then I said, "What I don't get is why you, a Nomad, hate moving so much." (We've lived in 4 different houses in the last 5 1/2 years, and he's resisted every move, even though they were entirely necessary.) "Well, it's not the going places I hate. I love to go places, I just want to leave all my stuff in one place." He makes the word nomad a verb. He nomads. He is a nomader. He enjoys nomadding. He engages in nomadation. |

My Nomad son is just finishing up his degree in Travel & Tourism. In December he had to take a Caribbean Cruise with his class, and then write a report on it. When he was in Middle school he went with 40 students and 4 teachers for 3 weeks to Australia & New Zealand with People-to-People. With his Explorer Mom (me) we’ve gone to vacations in the Caribbean, Bahamas and Mexico (many times). I always insisted on what he called our required Educational tours of the places we visited. We’ve been to India twice with Rotary International. The 1st 3 week trip was for Polio Immunization. One week we stayed with an Indian Rotarian in his home, the other 2 weeks we traveled through Northern India. The 2nd 3 week trip was to southern India. My son spent his 21st birthday helping to build an orphanage for the kids who lost their parents in the tsunami. So I think Nomad & Explorer fit us well. |

I am a B nonnie Gatherer, my mother is a B Nomad (doesn't know secretor status), I tried to measure my sister but she could be a Nomad or a Gatherer depending on secretor status. (same with a B friend of mine).

Hey there's more B explorers than gatherers, don't know what you are worried about, henriette!
Hi lola yes I went to Samos, met some lovely people, saw a beautiful place.
I pop in now and again, but have been much busier since Samos, after moving house and starting a new life. BTD/GTD still very much part of my life, doing the best I can, still making changes here & there... |

Ellie, would you say you fit the Gatherer profile pretty well? How has GTD been for you? I thought I was a Nomad, but it didn't work out well for me, so now I'm trying the Gatherer diet myself. |

Well I forgot to add that I returned to the clan of Nomads and my vote for sec explorer should be changed. |

Same here. Well, more or less. I'm working off my own personalized, B-nonnie version of the Nomad diet. |

Individuals have to find their own way, right? I like it that Peter is very much an encourager to do just that. Actually from the beginning, i.e., even under the BTD, we were all invited to find out what worked for us as individuals. It seems the GTD has effectively prompted many of us to get more proactive in assessing our own needs. |

I measured WRONG Maybe because the first time I did it myself... or maybe cause I´m a stupid Dane Or maybe I just looked at the statement: Almost always rh+" and thought hey it can´t be me Well I am very happy to return to my old friends and the food I knew and loved... |

I really believe I am a Gatherer. The Nomad traveler conversation stumped me as I am a flight attendant of 17 going on 18 years. I am spontaneous and pick up and go all the time. Rarely do I make plans to far out unless I am planning a trip with my husband or I have a speaking engagement or presentation scheduled. |
