We has some spamming of the Recipe database, so I took the opportunity to tune it up a bit. To find a recipe: http://www.dadamo.com/typebase4/recipes.htmAdding recipes is now much more detailed. You can leave information about ingredients which in turn link back to the TypeBase entry for those ingredients: http://www.dadamo.com/typebase4/recipeform7x.pl?I'll probably add some additional features. (Voting on recipes? A place for feedback?) Ideas are welcome. |

Here are some of the suggestions that have been made in some Suggestion Box threads: Recipe [Index] SuggestionsNew Recipes- Be able to rate recipes and/or add comments, as you already mentioned
- Offer a print friendly version of the recipe as an option
- Search by blood and secretor type
- Search by more than two blood types
- List All Recipes option should be on the main search page, currently it only shows up on the search results pages.
- Option to List All Recipes by creation date to find new recipes.

I think there should be a non-secretor section
The new add recipe form and edit recipe screen now allow the recipes to be rated for both ABO blood type and secretor status. However, it will take some time and effort from some advanced black belt members, that have access to the edit recipe screen, to go through all the current 855 recipes and rate them appropriately for ABO blood type and secretor status and fix typos, formating issues, etc. If there are other members that aren't advanced black belt members yet, but would like to seriously help with this task let one of the admin/moderators know and we consider adding you to the team. |

#1 is iffy for security reasons, but would be nice #2 is being worked on #3 will require time for secretor/non secretor values to be encoded by wonderful helper bees #5 is done. #6 will be coming soon, but since only new recipes are able to be date stamped there is not rush right now |

Dr. D has been busy! He has continued to enhance the Recipe Database with the features for which you have been asking! 1. Have you tried this recipe? What did you think?Near the bottom of every recipe page you now have to option to rate the recipe from 1 to 5 stars! 2. Click Here For Printer Friendly VersionAt the top of each recipe there is now an option for a printer friendly version. Check it out. Its great and even in color. 3. The Recipe Home page now offers access to blood and secretor type specific recipe listings, with the lists grouped by recipe category. At the time of this post already 8 new recipes have been entered and 119 old recipes have been edited, including rating them for blood and secretor type acceptability. This has been done in one week with just a few members working on it. 4. Maybe in his spare time Dr. D will enhance the current two blood type search to include secretor type, now that we currently have 127 recipes that are rated for blood and secretor type acceptability that can be searched. How important is it to be able to cross blood/secretor type search the Recipe Database on more than the current 2 types? 5. List Every RecipeA 'List All' or 'List Every Recipe' tab is now on every Recipe Database page, so you have quick and easy access to it. 6. What's NewThere is now a 'What's New' tab on all the Recipe Database pages. The top of the 'Whats New' page shows a list of the most recent recipe additions sorted by the date they were added. Lower down the page is a list of all the older recipes that have been revised or reviewed. I think that Dr. D deserves a big round of applause for all that he has done for us this past week. |

I forgot to mention that Dr. D added 2 new categories that recipes are being put in:
Beverages Soups and Broths
These go with the already existing categories:
Appetizer Baked Good Beverages Breakfast Dessert Entree Salad Side Dish Snack Other
This will make it easier to find what you are looking for.
Note: as we review and edit them we are moving dressing recipes from the generic 'Other' category to the 'Salad' category.
Also, almost all of the significant number of previously uncategorized recipes have now been categorized by the review and edit team, so they will be easier to find in the future. |

Check out the new What's New page features! You can now sort the listed new and the older revised recipes by the recipe name, date, and your blood and secretor type! In case you wonder what the 'Rev' column is for in the new recipe list, it allows the Recipe Database team to identify if the new recipe has been reviewed. Several other changes have been made in various areas of the Recipe Database. |

The Recipe Home page has the capability to generate many different types of blood type specific recipe lists: * Type A Friendly Recipes * Type AB Friendly Recipes * Type B Friendly Recipes * Type O Friendly Recipes * Cross Blood Type (A, AB, B, O) Friendly Recipes * Type A Non Secretor Friendly Recipes * Type AB Non Secretor Friendly Recipes * Type B Non Secretor Friendly Recipes * Type O Non Secretor Friendly Recipes * Cross Match Blood Type Compatible Recipes The 'Cross Match Blood Type Compatible Recipes' selection allows you to find recipes that are compatible between any two blood types, now including non-secretors!The 'Cross Blood Type (A, AB, B, O) Friendly Recipes' listing will be great to use for entertaining, potluck meals, and of course for those of you that have a multi-blood type family. |

I've posted a few recipes and I think it would be great if it had a preview before you submit it, that way you could quickly check for errors and also see how many if any avoids come up and make suggestions for a substitution. |

Thanks Lola, I just mean in general it would be neat to preview and see the avoid/neutrals ( the little chart that pops up at the bottom) and be able to add substitutions.... I'm finding there are many new recipes listed with maple sugar ( avoid for me) does anyone know if we can use DATE sugar seeing that I can have dates????? Sometime agave doesn't work that great in substituting 1/2 cup or more.. |

I believe that wouldn t be a problem, if your date syrup source is all dates! manufacturers always love adding junk to perfectly wonderful produce!! sigh! perhaps soaking some dates in hot tea during the night and blending that would make your date sweetener. |

It actually looks like brown sugar, bakes like brown sugar, but is 100% dates. It is expensive but who cares when you can't have sugar...maybe Dr.D could possibly add it to the data base???? Would be a great thing for us non-secretors (sorry O's) |
