I've been using this product for about a week now and I can't say enough good things about it.  Finding it incredibly helpful with my arthritic knees.  In the last couple of months, have found them really stiffening up if sitting for a period of time, or quite painful after long walks.  Haven't noticed it as much after a couple of days taking this product.  As well, gives me extra energy.  Right now, I'm adding a tablespoon to my morning green smoothie.

Great article on beneifits and nutritional content:  http://www.hedleys.ca/symons_super_mix.htm

Hey Deb...glad to hear that this product is helping you with your achiness.  And thanks for the link.  Being an A I can see where it will help you alot.  Just be careful of some of the avoids like the whole grain wheat, the dairy (100% whole milk and cheddar cheese) and the tomatoes/bananas (depending on secretor status and A1 A2 subtype)  and the oranges.

The only thing I eat (on occasion) is white bread.  Once or twice a month.  I'm thinking it's the raisins I eat (I believe it's an avoid for arthritis) that have escalated the inflamation.

the wheat and all avoids as well as night shades are to blame for excessive inflammation.

a lectin free diet is what you need for now.......
have you checked the arthritis book yet?
great advice there for your condition and physiology!

I work next to the library, so I think I'll check out the arthritis book this week.  I'm sure it will help.

Hi Debbie - That looks like a winner.  I didn't see any avoids in it, I believe the items listed at the bottom of the article are food value comparisons and not ingredients, right?

Anyway, where did you buy yours?

Correct - it is food value comparisons.

I bought the Supermix at Vita Health.  It's actually manufactured right here in Winnipeg, where I live.  If you can't find it in a local health food store, I'm sure you can order online.

I would love to try this supplement for my knees. I am 42 but especially the right knee I cannot straighten after keeping it bent for awhile. I am a type O and I do not think I can have buckwheat which is an ingredient. Are there any O's using this product with success?

MB,
have you thought of having your secretor testing done?
that would help you target your food choices even more.

momzybaby- I followed BTD for three weeks and all pains left me in both knees and all my joins, just eat beneficials for awhile, no avoids, and not many neutrals til the pain leaves.  It happens fast, I was surprised when from wheel chair, to walker to cane to walking on my own.

Welcome, momzybaby......I believe that O's should not use alfalfa, and that is the primary ing. in the mix.
