I have followed the Explorer diet Swami gave to me when it first came online. Not always perfectly. Today I decided to change a couple of answers.

I had checked yes to the questions about history of cancer in myself and my parents because I have had two basal cell skin cancers. My dad had several. No other cancer in the family. He lived to be 83, I am 64. He and I are both very fair, former way-to-frequent Southern California sun bathers (he in the form of golf and outside work). I decided these cancers were not necessarily "cancer". More just damage due to elements.

These changes took me from Explorer to Gatherer. I am looking forward to trying it. I can't see anything that would cause me a problem with the diet, just from a cursory look.

Do you think I am right on my answer about cancer?

Now, if I could just get a good reading on my fingerprints - who knows what I could end up to be. I had to sort of guess on those years ago. I have tried every trick available to get a good look at them. Bad gut and too much handwashing/scrubbing when working as a nurse, makes it almost impossible.

Have you tried using a scanner? That's the only thing that worked for me.

I know this sounds silly, but sometimes it's really obvious by looking at a person.

For fingerprints I look at them under a lamp at night. Ghee might help you. I've found more explorers have butter fingers, personally. But explorer or gatherer, that's an indicator that you should be far from wheat, and loaded on ghee.

Your diet shouldn't be too dissimilar. Big changes might be no white rice or high glycemic fruits. More meat.

Yes, Averno. I have tried a scanner. It enlarged my prints and I am still not able to make them out.

I have a magnifying light that I have tried day and night. Still no.

I need to get across the border into South Carolina to get some raw butter to make ghee. I have been out for quite a long time, because I have not been able to get raw butter and I prefer it that way. Wheat is a huge no-no for me. It hurts my gut.

Actually, imo that is not always the case - Although similar in part, I find quite a few foods, which are are avoids or black dots for one, can actually be a beneficial or super food for the other... Not so bad if you know for sure you are one, but confusing and a tad difficult if you are between both?!

Try comparing Hunter, Gatherer, Nomad and Explorer to Teacher or Warrior...

Do you think my judgment on the cancer issue is solid enough?

It depends.

Strictly speaking, cancer is cancer.

Quoted from Wikipedia
Basal-cell carcinoma or basal cell cancer (BCC), a skin cancer, is the most common cancer.[1] It rarely metastasizes or kills. However, because it can cause significant destruction and disfigurement by invading surrounding tissues, it is still considered malignant.[2][3]

I can see choosing not to check the box, but would choose to check it myself.
