I just thought it would be nice to establish kind of a clubhouse for this, since a couple of other people posted that they were trying it. A place to list "why's", trys and combos that turn out to be efficient and convenient.

When I looked at my list I found some I was already doing, cranberry on goat or lamb, hazelnut nut, zucchini. Saw bok choy in store other day that will be a good one for me. I like tenderizing meat with the fruit, oil.

You know what thats amazing! Cos when you first mentioned it I dont think people knew that you were actually eating it. What is the overall taste like? How do you feel during the day/ night?

How many cranberries does it take? I got tired of seeing my dried cranberries coated in avoids by big manufacturers so I switched to opening up capsules of cranberry powder.

I used "Just Cranberry" juice, if I was going to use dried cranberries I think I'd soak them in the oil and any spices and then pour the oil over the meat as a tenderizer. Now that I've said that it comes across as a really cool idea. The oil would preserve the cranberries you could make this up in advance and keep on hand.  Duh!!!!


I get dried cranberries from   nuts.com  but will be drying my own next fall.
I get my "Just Cranberry" from Krogers  or my local HFS

Swami has my gh foods as those that promote cellular detox. They are mostly fish/veggies/seeds/green tea/cranberry juice/ghee.

My fave combo: (green tea, goji berry juice, cranberry juice)I was already making my suntea with organic green tea and goji berries. When I bring it in from the sun I add some cranberry juice and put in the fridge. Each day as i drink it I add some slice lemon or lime!

My fave combo to eat together as incorporated into a meal:
broccoli raab/rapini; with bok choy, cauliflower, coconut oil, cornish game hen,cranberry juice,endive,goji berry juice, zucchini

Another good one is wild trout / whitefish / monkfish/ coconut oil and sesame seed!

Great thread, Seraffa! I would like to know what others combine and eat!

Green tea combined with blueberries, kale, molasses, flax seed or flax oil gives me the easiest 5 star GH combos. I transferred my molasses into a squeeze bottle so I can easily get a few squirts into my many cups of green tea per day.  I could always combine gouda with tofu but it's only 4 stars.  I have very few 5 star rated GH combos.  Most are 3. I generally go for the highest rated and
pick foods I enjoy consuming anyway.

It tastes like a very delicious fish salad. Mind you, I don't use a lot of molasses, though! I mix it with a little carob extract before adding it to the sardines. I think most people like things sweeter than I do. After so many years of battling Candida overgrowth, I lost a lot of my taste for anything very sweet. After mixing those ingredients with the sardines, I add that to a big mixed greens, veggie salad topped with cranberries and lecithin. I think simply sprinkling carob over the salad with a drizzle of lightly heated molasses would do the trick too.

If anyone knows the answer....I'm curious...  Are  benefits greater if you take a food on the left side of your GH list and combine it with a variety of the foods on the right side of the list?  Or is one to one good enough?  And what if you eat foods that make up a GH combo a few hours apart or is it necessary to actually combine them?  For example....I wanted my green tea to taste like plain green
tea....but realized an hour later, I forgot to consume the molasses.. Just squirted some into my mouth.
Too late or still good enough to count?

First, I would expect that 1:1 would get great benefits, but I would also think that adding more than one right side food to the combination would add a little benefit.  I doubt that it would be a great improvement, but some additive.

I would also assume that within 1 hour would be close enough.  Obviously, the rule is to ingest them together, but I don't know what the maximum time before benefits are lost.  This is a great question for the Dr.s at the shift...

Very few people are permitted Stilton Cheese, let alone have it as a Diamond, as do Nomads   .
But, if this can apply to anyone, I discovered on 1 May evening that it pairs splendidly with.... cranberries (Another Nomad Diamond!).
Whole Foods, however, had run out of any for sale, and I paired a block of cranberry/almond "cake" from Spain with the unrated Saint-Agur (from France's Auvergne region) which, while more akin to its neighbor, Roquefort, it is injected with the exact same fungus as both Roquefort and Stilton to provide the veins of olive-green mold.

Dried cranberry-almond "cake" (like a big hard block of fruit leather)  is sliced thinly, the cheese "filling" applied, and the little treat rolled like a tiny cannoli............MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.
Pairs exquisitely, like that other Diamond-Duo for me = Lamb and Yogurt.

SWAMI didn't tell me it's GenoHarmonic, but the moment it hit the system, it set off the Intuition Meter!

I've been using 2 very easy ones so far, lamb, red wine and Gouda cheese, or apple, Gouda cheese and Yerba matte tea.

Now I'm really getting inspired, and looking at the list with an entirely new perspective. I'm going to start using fruits and fruit juice combos from my genoharmonic list as the liquid in my smoothies, plus kale to moderate the sweetness. I'll add in other beneficials like ginger to adjust the taste.

You'd have to have a personalized SWAMI to find your genoharmonic food list. It would increase
the benefits of your SWAMI healing foods.  Sometimes your GH foods would be beneficials but often it's a beneficial combined with a neutral which creates a super beneficial combo.  If you're working from the book, you would not have access to a personalized GH food list.  If you purchase a SWAMI you will get your list.  No way to guess what foods would make up your GH food list.  Eating a lot of beneficials is certainly important and helpful for healing but it's not the
same as specific genoharmonic food combinations.  Might be an incentive to get a SWAMI.

It might, but the SWAMI program takes so many different and subtle things into account, it could be any number of factors that create the Genoharmonic suggestions.

My list seems to show cranberry juice as being an excellent combination with a lot of things, including anchovies.

So, this evening I had some freshly baked sprouted whole grain spelt bread and opened a can of mostly unsalted anchovies in olive oil, divided them into 2 bowls, added a litle extra olive oil and fresh lemon juice plus roasted pimento strips and sweet onion strips.  

Then I cooked a package of frozen cranberries in just a bit of water AND combined them in my blender with pineapple juice concentrate, ice cubes and a wee bit of agave.  

Result:  A not-quite frozen but thick and delicious cranberry frappe!

So, OK, it wasn't exactly cranberry juice.  But it made a perfect complementary taste treat to the "sardine antipasto" and bread.  

If I had any organic bok choy I would have added that to the meal one way or another because that's on my list also as genoharmonic for practically everything.  



6 years on ER BTD, went from sick and dying to healthier And 30 pounds slimmer.  THEN:  
Dec 2013: Started Swami Xpress - I'm 48% Explorer with hybridized Explorer/BTD list. A new adventure for this old lady!  -- LOST 5 more pounds on SWAMI!

I don't know how GH it was, but I just had turkey with fresh lightly cooked organic kale and a serving of sweet potato and it was delicious! My stomach is so happy! I'm serious that the kale was the best I have ever had. It did not need any seasoning whatsoever. No oil, no salt, nothing. It was perfect, as is/was! Kale and turkey diamonds and sweet potato a superfood.

I think that part of the reason Dr. D. came up with the GH list is to allow us to incorporate less than perfect foods for our type/group to make a diamond/superfood combination. That is what makes sense to me. After all, he has heard plenty of complaints from all over the world about foods on our lists that are not available in our areas or not "perfect" for us - as in, neutrals or worse! So this is his very own method of "GMO"ing to help us "modify" how we combine less than perfect foods in our own kitchens to make SUPER DUPER FOODS! The consumers win for once!

Ahh.....hmmmm I had to read that over twice because of today's negative connotations with GMO foods and now I get it   It works. I think SWAMI's algorythms are pretty spot-on: I think the very last part that continues to change is our GENETIC EXPRESSION as we go along....and this part is so young of a concept and so worthy of watching that it is exactly why others who don't believe in the BTD will not believe in advanced, ongoing healing and are more willing to keep undermining their own health with bad habits. Ya know, that old phrase that goes "everyone is going to die someday anyway, so I might as well enjoy life (with my bad habits)?"  

I've noticed that my "penchant for herring" is one of these things changing. Under SWAMI Deep Blue "pilchards" become beneficials (sardines still a diamond among pilchards)  and that means those herrings are in this family, but they are the most satisfying when paired up with genoharmonic combinations instead of randomly thrown together with other Deep Blue Beneficials.

Kinda like Spring's carob-pecan-sardine salad  

Part of me is now moving on from the tomato-lecithin-pilchard combo to new things; probably because other deep sea fish will continue to do the healing/resolving that's being addressed. Or - could be just a winter seasonal need come to an end now that springtime is here!

Yes, we do need change, Seraffa, no doubt about that. Sometimes simply adding a different seasoning can make our day! You should see the concoctions I blend together to season my turkey and turkey burgers! People don't even know it is turkey!

On another subject, you should have seen my face during the Holidays when someone served a dish that I could have at least had a small serving. I thought they had made it using ground turkey from something they said. But I misunderstood them, and it was actually beef. I used to love beef without reserve, but I won't soon forget the awful taste in my mouth when I tasted that dish! I couldn't figure out how in the world turkey could taste so awful!! I was ready to throw up! Then it hit me that it was beef. How on earth I ever liked it so much is beyond me! So we do change drastically, no doubt about it!

Speaking of change.....these days, peanut butter as a flavoring for sweet potato has worked out so much MORE successfully in the prescribed "portion size" for live carbs and fats now that I eat basic genoharmonic meals for breakfast and lunch!

Wonderful discovery: if I had mentioned this before, forgive me: I can regular SWAMI in the mornings then Swami Deep Blue in the evenings 12 hours later (this makes sure it's a very early breakfast, mind you) in regards to eating or omitting tomatoes. What is beneficial at breakfast with my eggs (tomato) is regarded as an "avoid" anytime I have soy-based tempeh.....so on the days I have my tempeh as a "bean/carb/grain" as and evening meal, 12 hours now seems to be enough clearing time for that live food I ate at breakfast not to react with that cultured soy. And these days, I see that the cultured soy and grain is the way to go every week instead of plain grain and soy: it DOES have a more beneficial effect in keeping my blood sugar stable by adding to my gut biome culture.....

By the way: Now that I am wearing a negative ion pendant, I can still use my lecithin at almost every meal as an genoharmonic emulsifier to aid my liver....but I now notice the time is LONG past where I had to use lecithin consistently in order to eat a lot of fish! NOW THAT'S PROGRESS!!!

Another good one is wild trout / whitefish / monkfish/ coconut oil and sesame seed!

even though my combos are quite different from yours, you gave me great ideas about how to make them in one superdelicious dish----and this applied for the juices as well.

one think i don't get about green tea and goji berries....do you eat them "dry" or what? do you put them into the tea?sorry..just curious
i have 5stars combo green tea and goji berry juice and i wonder if it could be the same if i ate them instead that drink the juice.. does it make sense?

santina, if it says berries on your GH list, it's not the juice....If it says juice, it's not the berries.  This is very specific all throughout SWAMI....and you should choose the exact food or beverage listed.

My SWAMI gives me blueberry juice in many combos that are 5 stars but not blueberries.  I can't
explain why except to say that perhaps the juice contains a higher level of phytonutrients...or that
the fiber isn't required as much as the juiced berry.

You can eat goji berries dry,or  put them in something hot which will soften them...whatever you like.

This is not in my SWAMI.....but I'm watching with interest the new interaction between   red bell pepper, hot paprika, and chili powder seasoning as both a mood enhancer and energy booster! It seems that neither by itself does the same job, but only when combined. "Take me back to Old Szeged" -- ha ha! Seriously though, if this does what I think it does, I could use it on days I do an Explorer sweaty workout.

Joe--This raises a question I've had for awhile now.  Yes, SWAMI recommends the most beneficial of the four different GH options.  But does anyone print all four and work on more than one criteria at a time.  It would be easy to do that, and allow for greater variety in our diets.  Certainly we all eat foods other than just those on our recommended GH list.  I can't see where it would do any harm. But please advise.

While one of my smallish skillets was heating to almost medium,I washed the kale. Just before adding the kale, I swiped the bottom of the skillet with a very small amount of olive oil to keep the kale from sticking. Cooked it without the lid for a minute or so on one side, turned it and cooked it the same amount on the other side. Stirred it well, put the lid on and let it rest without heat, but still on the stove, until I got the rest of lunch ready. This was young kale, not the really tiny salad mix kale but the next size up before it gets to the full grown stage. I have another container of this kale in the fridge and can't wait to have it again! Kale is a perfect food for me, and it makes me feel wonderful!

I have printed all of them out and while I don't specifically "work" on more than 1 at a time, if I'm making a dish where a GH combo can be put together easily, I don't hesitate to include it...  

I'm happy to know that these exist and attempt to get as much benefit as I can from them...

yes, I have, what I do is see what I'm eating then see what goes with on any given GH option. Then work that into a dish.

I'm with Saraffa - confused.com here. Do you mean you force Swami to run for each of your genotype possibilities (given I'm an O would mean - Hunter, Gatherer, Explorer) and then compare??? That would only be three variables that make up my total 100%.

Please explain what y'all mean - I'm fascinated.

On the SWAMI intake page, you can choose which genoharmonic combination set it calculates and attaches to the bottom of your printout...  I didn't log back into SWAMI to capture the screen shot of the choice box, but the choices are:
Broad Benefit, Glycation, Histones, and Methylation, in addition to Best Choice - which is the default and chooses one of the four.

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to this thread!

On my swami, goji berries are a superfood and goji berry juice is a neutral.
On my genoharmonics, it calls for cranberry juice, green tea and goji berry juice.
I have used dried goji berries and put them in the tea. Then i found goji berry powder and now use that. I am still looking for the juice, by itself, I can find it mixed with other juices but never alone.

Oh the wonders of ghee mixed with evoo for glowing beauty!

For a couple of months I noticed this even if the combo of these fats was used with an avoid......and maybe my body sucked down the avoid even faster because of it.

Every time I had a mix of butter or ghee with equal parts evoo....my torn up cuticles healed within hours, and my skin had a radiant inward glow. Even if the facial epidermis still felt rough on the surface....there was like this "glow". My scalp, however, took the brunt of eliminating these fats and you would have sworn I had put on too much hair product making my hair so heavy.

I wonder how the harmonics happen in this combo!

Thanks Joe, I'm on the same page now and know just the setting you're talking about. I might have a tweak later and see what the different options produce by way of genoharmonic combo's.

I've never mixed the two together before (have only done butter and EVOO). Definitely going to try them together now, your results sound wonderful!!

I love to take the kale and pulse it in my food processor until finely chopped. I then add minced fresh garlic, sea salt, fresh lemon juice and EVOO. It makes a wonderful salad and you can keep it in the fridge for a few days-it just keeps getting better. Sometimes I sprinkle chopped walnuts on top for extra crunch-YUM!

Edamame and turnip greens: originally it was supposed to be soybean meal - but what a great genoharmonic combo! I think this is what has been eliminating underarm odor for me, plus not using flouride toothpaste anymore.....and I still have 2 amalgym fillings.

Any bean that starts out "green" in color for me works well as long as its not dried and toasted later, like so many soybeans are for quick snacks.

Your question re: trying to find100% artichoke pasta has come up many times over the years.  I've
never found a product that didn't also contain wheat.  I've googled this lots of times....

Easier to find artichoke flour.

My SWAMI diet is a blend of BTD and GTD Explorer, but I'm not totally compliant.  Also I try to choose foods that have a Low Glycemic index.  DW and DD are A+, probably also Explorer.

This was nasty.  Turns out the Swami updates changed me to a Teacher (without changing many foods) and the anchovies are a neutral.  Good thing, because it turns out I hate anchovies!

Wow. I am so looking forward to scheduling an appointment with Dr. D. in this new year. Omitting flouride from my drinking water has helped my endocrine issues in some ways, but I am seeing changes in genetic expression as Menopause sets in. I went back to some old - and one NEW genoharmonic combination just the other day. It was just what I needed!

I believe that Genoharmonic combos are real, effective game-changers for people "in flux", and I look forward to a more accurate SWAMI this year. Maybe the same old genoharmonic foods with be in there, but maybe with different combos suggested!

Right now, grapefruit with avocado (not in the genoharmonic list) combined with a genoharmonic fish is DA BOMB. Must be all the good stuff amplified by grapefruit-power! (see this month's forum thread on "grapefruit")

It seems as if grapefruit and avocado (as long as there are no starches added) are telling the ol' Thyroid in the Town Hall Meeting "You can sit down now......it's our turn to speak"..........

And I only have to use 1/2 of each fruit, although - it's pretty hard not to turn away a whole avocado at breakfast.....

Just a question for those using their Genoharmonic Lists: does anyone else seem to have the most healing results starting with combos with fish and their red meats? I am very interested to know.

Dairy and Grains never seem to make it into the combo list.......I guess they could for a B or an AB, but I'm neither.

Seraffa, I had forgotten all about this thread so I started at the beginning and read the whole thing! Lots of good info to encourage us to try more things. I wonder how Dr. D. figured out that we might get bored with SWAMI after a while and want to branch out a little with these Harmonics! Nah, I'm sure he was more interested in pushing foods to the absolute limit of their benefits. There is one thing, though, that is next to impossible for me to really get with it. That is the idea of drinking juices. I have no idea why that is, but the only thing I can come up with is this: Fruits, especially, taste too sweet to me in the form of juice, and I don't even like to think about drinking juice! Once in a while I can enjoy a spoonful or two of watermelon juice when I am actually eating watermelon, but that is about it. I suppose if I were really sick and juice would be especially beneficial during such a time, I would be able to get it down.  

As an example, I had some lengthy testing done and was in the hospital overnight a few years ago. The food was awful because they had nothing I could eat on my diet, and I was weak as could be trying to get through these tests - one of them being the treadmill!  I thought I was going to fall off the thing. (I think the doctor who was assisting thought I was, too, because he had his hand on my back the entire time.) Anyway, afterwards they were offering me something to drink. I don't think there is a drink made in the USA that they didn't have. The guy kept calling names of them on and on and on until he finally got to cranberry juice! (They were not in alphabetical order.)  Ahhh, that sounded so good, and that is what I got. I'm so bad about this that I had rather drink water than just about any juice out there.

I water down my juices, at least half and half.
I didn't grow up drinking juices. I do think they are some more modern concept to market to busy working mothers. The whole fruit is obviously healthIer!

No, Seraffa, most of my GH combos start with vegetables or vegetable proteins such as carob and pecans.  I do have one dairy which is Colby cheese.

I do notice that lamb, my only beneficial red meat is listed as a good combiner with a lot of the main ingredients.

Some of my highest rated GH combos contain gouda, green tea, ghee, flax.  Plenty of fish....some species I've never heard of...but mostly I choose the combos I really like... like flax bread with ghee and green tea.

Pick a food from the left....and combine it  with any one or more of the foods on the right.

That's the only way to make a GH combination.
