I am having a real challenge with tomatoes. I love those, especially the Italian Stewed tomatoes. Living in the deep south like Texas, everything has bacon, ham, avocado or Tomatoes in it. Any suggestions for getting off tomatoes? Has anybody had similar challenges?

Not too sure about this, but I think if you are an A2B you can have tomatoes.   IIIIIIsssssaaaaa...am I correct?

Tomatoes are in the Avoids, but in Small letters, not CAPS. I don't what A2B is. would you please explain?

You just have to avoid them...  It is difficult to eat out, but it is possible.  The important thing is to impress upon the service people that it is IMPERATIVE that there is NO tomato ANYTHING in the meal you are served.  When it is served, check it carefully.  We have had sandwiches served that have tomato seeds in them from the cook putting tomato on, then removing it prior to sending it out...

My DD doesn't eat out much because there are times when just the smell of tomato in the restaurant will start her muscle spasm, etc...

A2B - A1/A2 is a subtype of Type A.  There is very little diet influence from this subtype.

What do tomatoes do? When I was on the Straight ER4YT, Tomatoes were part of my plan.

Step one is to come up with tasty tomato-free meals to enjoy at home. Even if you continue to eat tomatoes away from home for a while longer, it's still a step in the right direction.

IMO, the key is not to "find a tomato replacement" but rather to find delicious foods that are naturally tomato-free. "No-mato sauce" has its place (say, on compliant pizza), but I think it's more satisfying to seek out alternative recipes that simply don't have tomato in them. Look for cuisines that don't use tomato, such as Asian or English foods, rather than just trying to adapt typical Texas foods.

Not too sure on this one.  I thought there were about 20 or so foods that changed in this category...sorry don't have my books.
