I don't have a SWAMI (yet). But since so many people were reporting to be labled a different GT from the one they get in the GTD table, I was wondering if there are also different typings across blood type borders. The strength test between Explorer and Teacher (the only possibilities blood type-wise) clearly points to Explorer. But when I strength test for all the GTs, Nomad is the type that's most "me":
- loads of white lines - at least 8 loop patterns - all fingerprints match ...and I'm sure there's some more...
So how would SWAMI handle this? Would I be recommended some Nomad food or be labled as Nomad? Or would that be out of the question because of my BT? |

You could be a Warrior as a type A. I also have lots of white lines and matching loop fingerprints. The book typed me as an Explorer, then SWAMI first typed me as a Warrior, and eventually Teacher after I updated the SWAMI with my Meyer's Briggs personality test. BTW, I strength tested lowest for Teacher in the book. You need to ignore the strength tests of the genotypes that don't match your blood type. I've seen others make the same mistake and indeed it can be very confusing.
There are MANY more parameters factored when SWAMI calculates your genotype. It's the best way to go if you can afford it. |

With SWAMI labels are irrelevant.
If you do nor override it, it will tell you what it calculated (which will not be Nomad in your case), But it will go ahead and calculate what foods you need based on your individual health profile.
Use the diet plan SWAMI creates for you, not the label diet in the book.
Some of your recommended foods will be the same as the nomad list, but you will be recommended foods because that is what SWAMI determined that you needed, not because they are on the nomad list. |

Thanks for the response. I really doubt I could be a Warrior. That would mean I'd better reduce my meat intake to 0...which I'm sure would make me feel horrible! It would leave me hungry all day. And my digestion runs rather quickly. I've already had issues with hypoglycemia because of too much "sugar" when I was 19 and adjusted my diet accordingly a few times until there were only very few carbs left. But I started craving carbs agin when i was pregnant. I understand that warriors usually don't have any isuess until their late 30s? ... and there's no warrior in the table with my measures (only teacher and explorer). No idea if SWAMI is as strict. WTH...I just remeasured my legs and I got different results this time... i'll still have to re-do it some time without a baby on my lap. |

You could have a SWAMI that labels you "Warrior" but still gives you plenty of fish and poultry. I'm honestly not even sure why SWAMI bothers with labels instead of just providing you with the personalized diet. I think it might reduce some confusion, as people tend to get very hung up on the labels.
As an A prone to hypoglycemia, you're most likely an Explorer- but Teachers sometimes need large amounts of protein too (Teachers get quite a bit of diary.) But if you get SWAMI, it truly won't matter what the label is- you simply follow your own recommended foods and portion sizes. Bear in mind that the portion sizes are not designed for pregnancy or nursing, so you'll probably need to slightly increase the SWAMI recommended portions while you're making milk. |

Ah, thanks, that's helpful. Though I really hope to get the chicken eggs back on the list...goose or quail eggs is just ridiculous... Can't buy it anywhere! |

Nothing you described would prevent you from being a warrior. In fact the finger prints would indicate a high likelihood since they all match it sounds like. I have all ulnar loops and am a warrior with lots of white lines.
I have had plenty of issues. I'm not even 30. |

I suggest a secretor test to help you narrow it down--sometimes data is a good thing. |

@DoS Hope you don't mind that I'm asking: like what? Maybe it'll help me a bit. Andrea, yeah, well...I agree... Especially because for me, my secretor status decides about my GT according to the table in the GTD. For my mother it was a lot easier. Her measures plus blood type, Rh, and sex already mean she's an Explorer. But the price (89€!!!} for the secretor test is a real turn-off. Or can the SWAMI (which i ordered yesterday ) itself maybe come to a conclusion concerning my secretor status based on the GT it calculates for me? @Lola Thanks for the link. But I'll have to find a computer with a flash player first. Doesn't work with my tablet. |

Maybe, it is a one time test for information you have for a life time-- and even if you do the SWAMI you may find that you want that last bit of info secretor status. SWAMI will help but it may even open up more questions for you. |

Yes life is built on learning and questions about ourselves. At 26 I wish I knew my secretor status and had a SWAMI. |

My life would have been so different if I had known at that age too!! But, still, knowing what it feels like not to have a stomachache at this age is wonderful!! |

You can run SWAMI as a secretor, then check the box for non-secretor and run it again, then compare the two diets. There may not be much of a difference between the two, or there might be huge changes. It may or may not be easy to "avoid the foods that are avoids for you either way", or you may prefer to just follow the SWAMI for one version. |

Happy new year! Thanks, DoS. And I'm sorry. Rhuthie, I'll probably try the more uncomfortable version first hoping that my body won't like it. Great... I couldn't find any shop on right4eu at first. So I ordered the SWAMI via the US shop. Got an email that my order has been canceled and transfered to the shop in the UK...yay! Then I found the shop... And the SWAMI is 30€ (40$!) more on there! and I'll have to re-confirm the order...which is basically good. |

Really? You don't have any arch finger prints? I have them on both hands. Like 2 on each hand...the hallmark of a Warrior. White lines ...gluten intolerance. I have some too. I'm off gluten now.. I remember when Dr. D genotyped me he said the fingerprints weren't as important as the head shape for the blood type. Interesting. |

I did not know A's are prone to hypoglycemia. I can sometimes feel that way. Used to get anxiety like i did not have enough oxygen. Can still feel
I sometimes think i could have been a nomad, since explorers and nomads are similar. I do not have white lines but i have 8 ulnar loops and two whorles on my right thumb and right ring finger, respectively. My left ring ringer looks like it could not decide if it was gonna be a loop or a whorl, but it connects off like a loop.
Dang DoS you have ten loops?!
Nomads and explorers tend to have more squarish type heads, which i have, though it is pretty big long ways and wide. Nomads and explorers have bigger bones and more muscle mass on average. |
