OH BOY....the Junkie speaks!
MY SWAMI sez all these are live foods and I get to have 5 daily
OH BOY....I can eat 5 potatoes, 5 pumpkins or 5 avocadoes daily
RIGHT?????!!!

Tell me it's true, to a comfortable life of overstuffing myself....
I think they should have been put under starches and fats, frankly
Unless I'm wrong!

funny, funny, funny ... I do not know about your list, but mine has at least twenty others to share the limelight in my plate ... Dr D wants us to get all our minerals and vitamins and nutrients from our food ... that is why he gave us variation, diversity and as many food choices as possible ... stuffing on one or two was not what  he meant ... although if you really feel like it, you may get away with trying it once ... but then that day your body maybe craving for its fare share of nutrients ...

Ok, then. ( And I like your ticker! ) And - then what are the PolyVites for? People who are not fully absorbing their foods yet?   Are the vitamins for conditions until the body has cleaned up a few years?

I've got the same thing on my SWAMI....5 cups of avocados per day?   I thought it belonged with
controlled portions of fats/nuts...something other than where it is with green leafy veggies which
easily could fill 5 cups...

But 5 avocados per day~

YAY~!  for us

Variety is crucial to good health. Common sense about portions goes without saying.

I think we're being more tongue in cheek rather than serious.....I think I'd feel ill before I could actually get down 5 avocados or eat bowls of guacamole (unless I got an equal amount of corn chips -
which are toxins).

Of course, we all know about variety....but we do have our favorites.

I know, I know. Portion controll is my number 1 issue, and frankly I was a bit startled by the 8oz almond butter post earlier. Been there. Regretted it.

My wife and I were splitting one every day before we learned they were forbidden fruit!

Try this:

Dig 'em, slice 'em and spread 'em out.
Drizzle 'em with walnut oil (or something compliant, but more interesting than evoo).
A little sea salt, a little pepper.

This is your brain on avacado

I see it as "I can have half an avocado in my lunch salad and it won't "use up" my serving of fats and oils. It counts as part of my veggies for the day." I eat leafy greens at least twice a day, sometimes three.

Cajun, that is how I always used to make guac.
Everyone in my circle has their own recipe- none are better- one with mayo for God's sake. The first rule of cooking should be to not molest the food!!!

Thats it. I'm cheating tonight.

OK...no
