I just ordered the SWAMI software. How long does it usually take to get here?
Can anybody tell me what is involved once I get it. Will I need to do any measuring?

It should take just a few days to arrive in Texas.

If you did not order other items it is sent via USPS first class/priority mail.

Although my husband is a tailor, he is not very good in taking measurements. I watched a little of that video, my belly button is way down and my waist, where I wear skirts, is not anywhere near my belly button. So I don't know where to measure. And my belly doubles up so it will be difficult to get good measurements. I just hope I didn't throw $$$ out of the window by buying this. I am just a worried.

in the meantime, write down the measurements so you just fill in the blanks once you get your swami

analyze your fingerprints.....if loops, determine if ulnar or radial

it is so simple to do, do not get intimidated......you ll be very pleased

May I recommend that you spring for the secretor test as well? I truly believe that you'll see improved results by graduating to swami, more so if it turns out you're a nonnie. Health issues specific to ABs, as Dr. D. Points out in LR4YT, can show a remarkable turn-around. Certainly did for me.

I don't think there is a way to mess up SWAMI as long as you do your best.  There are so many measurements that even if you get one or two slightly wrong, the majority will put the results very close to where they should be...  

Just do it so you can start seeing results.

AB Joe, they actually put me back on Medicaid! So I will see an Oncologist next week.

Averno, as part of my oncology Blood Work, I will ask the oncologist to include a Secretor Test since it DOES matter when it come to proper diagnosis of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia as to which RAI I am on. SO as soon as I get the results back back from the oncologist, I will know my secretor status without having to spend more then what my husband makes in 9 hours of work before taxes. It was a sacrifice to buy SWAMI on our budget and we also have to eat.

It said in the video that you can't do it on your own. That you will need somebody to measure you, and that is why I am worried. They shipped it at 4:42PM yesterday. So maybe it will be here by Thursday. Just in time to do the measurements and change my eating style __ again

Aim for the smallest part of your waist, regardless of where your belly button is.  The smallest part of my waist is above my navel, not at the same location.  

Well I got my SWAMI today. I need to buy an INK Pad to the finger printing.
That will be lots of work. So I can't buy groceries until I have done that finger printing. I also did not get one of those meters to measure my jawline angle. How do I do this without one?

My scanner did the best job of mapping my pitiful fingerprints. Dr. D gives some instruction on this somewhere on this site.

On the jawline, Swami choices include neutral, so I think you can judge it by just comparing to the pictures. Either choice other than neutral would probably be fairly certain.

This is an online program. Pictures are included in the help system in the product. There are also online videos illustrating how to do the measurements. Most measurements are the same as those described in the GenoType book.

I am presuming that in a few days the kits will cease to exist, as they are not needed with SWAMP XP2.

I just wrote somewhere else on this forum that I could see my fingerprints in the bright sunlight & I think they are kind of shallow.  
How about going outside & see if you can see them.

I also checked out my toeprints.  I still think there are things they can tell us, but no one has researched that....
All the loops I have on my fingers are ulnar, but my big toes are radial. I still wanna know if there is something to that!


BTW, the SWAMI seems to be the best diet for me. The ER4YT didn't make much difference.  Then when I got LR4YT, the non-secretor diet worked better. When the genotype book came out, I was borderline on the genotypes. I tried the hunter, but it didn't seem to help. Then I tried gatherer again with mediocre results. The SWAMI resulted in what various trial & error had said.  Out of all the other options before I got SWAMI, the LR4YT nonnie diet seemed the best.
My cash flow isn't that great, but if you all can get the SWAMI, go for it!!!!

tie a length of elastic (string or 1/4in no wider) around your waist  area loosely, walk around it will settle where you true waist is.

BD and I just used a Black permanent maker, and typing paper.
My husband used the copier, and had it print out the negative. He's a smarty  

It has also been suggested that you can go to your police dept. and for a small fee they can fingerprint you. People do it all the time for employment security purposes and such...

I was thinking to get an ink pad, but paying $10 bucks for good finger prints is worth the investment. Thanks Chrissy, and thanks everyone in taking an active part in my recovery. I really appreciate that.
