Look under live foods.
The root and the green are separate listings. |

Rather than the chicory, I would be concerned with the Erythritol. That's (2R,3S)-butane-1,2,3,4-tetraol. |

If consuming sugar alcohols was a problem for you, you would probably know. Generally it only takes me a few hours to note that I have eaten something containing a sugar alcohol. |

I think the erithrytol might be corn-based. Email the company to verify. Sugar alcohols can also be very hard to digest- I've tried malitol sweetened chocolate in the past, and it had a very unpleasant laxative effect. I was better off eating dark chocolate with sugar than eating that stuff!
I now buy unsweetened baking chocolate. Sometimes I melt it, stir in molasses, and let it harden. Other times I eat it plain (which is definitely an acquired taste.) |

I enjoy shavings from baking chocolate as a topping. |
| My SWAMI diet is a blend of BTD and GTD Explorer, but I'm not totally compliant. Also I try to choose foods that have a Low Glycemic index. DW and DD are A+, probably also Explorer. |

well that's an interesting concept. you mean baking choc rehardens after you melt it? wow... i will need to use agave... i agree about the malitol.. but only if i ingest 2 or 3 large candy bars made with it. 1/2 of a bar doesn't do anything to me that I can feel or notice. |

Yup, the chocolate re-hardens after melting. It needs to be quite warm to stay liquid. Once you mix in a liquid sweetener, it won't be quite as hard as it was before. |
