How many times can you use this software? How much does it cost? Are there any classes I would need to take to understand it?
Any help would be appreciated. |

You can only use it for one person, but you can update it as many times as you want. There are some fields that are "time locked" to prevent people from using it for more than one person. After a specific amount of time (I'm not sure exactly) from when you first start using it, the fields are locked and you can't change them. But, you can contact customer service if you need to change a field- either based on new information or if you entered something incorrectly at first.
The kinds of things that are likely to change over time: waist/hip ratio, weight, family medical history, lab test results, etc, are not time-locked. You can update your SWAMI every day if you want to (although that's not recommended- every few months is plenty.)
You don't need to take any classes to use SWAMI, but there are lots of knowledgeable people on this forum who can help you if you get stuck or confused about something. |

On line is a video on how to measure for SWAMI. You will be fine, you will need someone to help you measure. |

Thank you ABJoe. I used to live close to where you are. I lived in Corona and also in Riverside. Do you know if there is a video somewhere that will teach me how to measure myself if I want to find out what Geno Type I am. The directions in the book didn't tell me if I was have it pulled tightly together or loosely. |

There is no need for Swami, unless you wish to get a INDIVIDUALized program where you can make changes as you're life/health develops. OR, if you wish to have a computer printout on foods to be used, following the different categories.
IF you have any book, it is my opinion that it is good enough to follow it for some time, a year or more.. and to read it several times..
with Swami, it is a presumed that one has basic knowledge of BTD.. Swami can function on its own, but is not as informative as are any of the BTD/GTD books.. Swami is a few pages long, where any book is many pages.. There are many books for different stages of knowledge and understanding the progress BTD made over the years.
I have Swami and like it for the ability to do a quick look up on foods..

| When I see other peoples medicines schedule-I am happy to be here taking care of my health I only wish to drop weight more easily-life would be perfection Being 'here' creates understanding. BTD prevents damage from eating avoids. Thanks Dr D & your sups - all support and friendships |

I disagree. I think SWAMI is the BEST diet Dr. D. has presented for us as individuals and it is especially useful if we have a medical issue that we want to heal as fast as possible. It has been invaluable for both myself and my DD, who none of the book diets seemed right for. I agree that the books are helpful for getting a better all-around understanding of the information, but SWAMI's diet is unbeatable. |

I agree with ABjoe I would never have followed the basic GTD today tried but I just didn´t feel well and diet was totally wrong for me. I turn out to be a bit of a chameleon B - so for me it is crucial to get a personalized diet.I am healthy and have no medical issues- but I just never fitted in the basic GTD. |

I did poorly on the Gatherer diet from the book as well. If not for SWAMI, I would have gone back to BTD. |
