All those places on my hands and feet tendons lost 100% of their swelling except for the 2 main foot tendons (90% I guess) since I did not go back to work. I had taken the wheatgrass tablets last month and it kept stuff at bay,and brought me back to normal. But in July the pain was precipitated again by hidden MSG in my processed turkey and the edema-or-gout thing started happening again.

I'm out of wheatgrass tabs for a couple weeks now, have left the job, ate compliant pinapple, green pea/lentil mush last night for dinner....and woke up up with achy, slightly puffy hands and feet this morning!!!

I'm thinking how good my blood pressure is, but thinking how my legs are having poorer circulation these days when I sit down. They don't feel like they completely fall asleep but they definitely feel sluggish and sometimes even when I'm standing up and not moving.

So ok; it's time to exercise this week and get into my nonnie "diabetes prevention" outlook even though nobody in my family has a history of diabetes!
(Nobody had a history of BULIMIA in my family, either, but my genotype targeted me for that dreadful disease when I was eating avoids!!!!  Here comes the "Explorer surprise factor" in what you wind up with in life......)

I have no problems with my sugar or my eyesight. I wonder if I should say anything to the clinic doctor when I finally have a regular practitioner seeing me? Chances are they will say "you need to lose weight" and leave it at that.

However, I'm waiting patiently for my SWAMI to be tweaked (if it can), and I have heard a lot about the "stroke prevention tests" that cost $125 and tell you whether you have blood clots or arterial blockages in your system. My father's side of the family is rife with heart disease history.

Your thought about the stroke prevention test for those prone to diabetes?

Being here is invaluable, but not enough. We need ALL the Doctors. I needed them for a very small cancer spot-I could never feel!!! Please do your mammograms! Doing so saved me from cancer later on. I am grateful! Thanks for learning from my experience! I was lucky! I wish the same for YOU!

Yes, good question. What specifically in cherry juice?

It took 3 days for the wheatgrass to take effect to bring puffiness down last time. Cherry juice made me so lethargic that I did not bother continuing with it; I would have never gotten up to get outside the house at all......just slept 12 hours straight with it.

It has naturally high levels of melatonin - hence the sleeping effect?!

Even more so in the jug of concentrated natural tart cherry juice I bought on sale at Kroger for $5 instead of $15! 2 TB and I am out like a light for 9 hours...... delicious drug.

But what's in the cherry juice for gout?
Cherry juice contains a compound called anthocyanin that can dissolve these crystals and reduce gout pain.
The anthocyanins in cherries provide the fruit with the bright-red pigment you see on the outside. It also decreases urates (hardened uric acid) in the blood when ingested. In order to get the full benefit of the anthocyanins to fight gout and other healthy issues, have two full tablespoons of cherry juice or per day or two servings (six cherries) of dried or fresh cherries.
