Have gained back 4 pounds during SWAMI-ing from my 7 pounds lost BEFORE SWAMI-ing, and have some kind of chronic tendonitis in my feet every day now; very painful and takes more than a day to go away. Problem is - I hardly ever get 2 days off in a row......and have to be on my feet 10 hours a day for work.
Am hurriedly seeking new job interviews and going back to the old, standard Explorer GTD!!!! Nobody likes innocent mistakes in their diet, but I ain't here to mess around. Cos I'm a nonnie! (hmmmppphhhh!) lol

What the heck is the machine, and do I buy it? Willow bark is better than aspirin, Amazone?

Sounds like between detoxing and swelling from too much time on your feet your body is getting a beating right now. I can't even imagine what cortisol is doing to you!

I wonder if you actually gained 4 pounds in fat, or if it's all water weight from the foot swelling.
What kind of work do you do? I'm guessing that "working fewer hours at a time" or "working fewer days" isn't financially feasable right now, or you'd have already done so. I'm also assuming you do get to sit down for the legally-required breaks during that 10 hour workday, but that the 15minutes every couple of hours and one slightly longer lunch break isn't enough to prevent the swelling. (If I'm wrong, you may have legal recourse to get more breaks in your workday.)
But is it possible to do your work sitting on a stool rather than standing all day? Would it be possible to have a stool available to sit on intermittantly while working, rather than standing all 10 hours? How feasable is it for you to find a different job, one where you get to sit down while working?
I also wonder if you're eligable for any kind of medical leave since the job is causing you health problems. Have you gone to a doctor for any kind of official diagnosis?

don't cry, Spring. Lots of B-12 and baccopa keep me on an even temper at work; so much so that one of my friends there marveled; mgmt sees it too. I'm just disgusted because of the hours and my setbacks.

Its retail in a meat market at miniumum wage, which is why they give us overtime and make it 10 hours a day (a $350 paycheck after taxes, every week.) There is no medical insurance offered. Really no time to go to the public health clinic ( you must get processed the first day, be given to a primary care doctor on second visit, etc.) Nobody who is at my job wants their job, either. We're all hurting or bored or tired or broke, and all looking for our next job, really. I'm very lucky, comparitively; there are people who have chronic carpal tunnel or arthritis because they don't know anything about BTD or GTD.
I have been saving up a nest egg, but may just not next week if I want to go to a different clinic or to dental care. But I don't get any sick days.

I think you may need to recheck the data that you have put into your swami. it is always spot on for us once we made corrections to our initial mistakes.
Pain is a reaction from the body warning you that a change of some sort is required. covering up that pain in some way is bad advice. you need to eaithe change your food or rest or both.
also check that you are not dehydrated.
you seem on edge lately so perhaps some love, comfort, friends and positive family time is required. perhaps try some pet therapy. acknowledge that you are a lovely person and try and relax. dry skin brushing, self massage and meditation will come a close run to some tenderness.
start by rubbing coconut oil into your feet every morning prior to having a shower, It's a good way to relax and detox at the same time.
do you do much yoga? perhaps you should try that and really get into it to ease your stress.

This is just one link that describes what a TENS unit is and some of the things it can do. One of my neighbors got wonderful help from using one. She had gotten to the point where she could hardly walk from their car to the house and was in tremendous pain all the time. Now, she works in the yard and walks perfectly normal! Hers ran on batteries so she wasn't restricted in any way. Medicare paid for hers.

Arnica gel is wonderful on my bunion-affected foot where pain is usually on the top of my foot. HFS gave me a sample sachet and I went back for a tube of it and another sample to send to my brother.
Are you wearing very supportive shoes? Tie with arch supports? I like the Phase 4 Orthotics. I wear them. I have flat feet and they support my arches very well. Only $19.99. Well worth it. Also I found that stretching the achilles tendon daily gently, will prevent planter fascitis. Your achilles tendon may be too tight.

and add some lavender oil to the c-nut oil .... to relax, some minthoil against pains.....or the beautiful and very effective mix of 50:50% niaulioil and lavenderoil
Willow bark for blood group-specific beneficial effect. Group A Anti-inflammation, used to treat bursitis, fever, headache (tension), osteoarthritls, and rheumatoid arthritis.
((((((((Wow, friends)))))) Em....the coconut oil can be a topical use oil for A's?????? I know it has great antibacterial properties. I just didn't think my skin should absorb it at first. Skin + capillaries absorbency = avoid?

There's no problem using most avoids topically, as a general rule. Obviously there are some exceptions, such as if you're actually allergic to something. You also don't want avoids in lip balms, since you're likely to ingest some of it. But with something like coconut oil, when it might even be neutral or better if you had a SWAMI, there's no need to avoid topical use.
There was an article by Dr D posted online a few years ago, before GTD. He was explaining why coconut oil wasn't a good dietary choice for most people, and ended the article with something along the lines of "save that coconut oil for topical use."

For some reason my body started rejecting Chamomile (supposed to be good for A-Types) after using it for a few years, but I have wonderful results using it on my skin! I love Chamomile!! Just another one of those "strange" examples!

I suppose any old excuse will do if you're trying to cut back on Medicare costs! I've seen the results with my own eyes - I know they work for back pain!

it would be nice to find a program for "fat" people. I looked up some free pilates for the "morbidly obese" only to find that the originators never answer their email, and are not giving out the course anymore. Maybe the health dept. in the UK shut them down. *sigh*
In all honesty, though, Policychecker, I am doing much better than I was 6 months ago. if I was married again - and the house all bought with no problem, with nothing lingering in the back of my mind, I would probably feel all safe and secure. And maybe pounds coming off me like when I was a teenager. Just by having more people around at home as family and "being a team" - not just family. I'm not whining - just stating the facts as they are! A change of job will free me up for more hours developed towards exercise and stress relief.

I've decided I can't wait for something like this, as lovely as it sounds. I think I'm meant to be alone for now, to figure out how to take care of me, by myself, on my own, ouch-it's not easy.

Well, you deserve a medal for working so hard. Hopefully it's only for a season in your life. And maybe you'll get a little relief in the future. It does seem like you're handling it well though. And anytime we work for 10 hours, on our feet, being busy, etc, we might have some pain in our life. When we're younger, it's a whole lot easier to deal with. But then our bodies start to not be so spry after a certain age. I'm guessing that's how it all goes.
I'll say a prayer for strength and peace for you. And maybe a new job situation.
