What exactly does the "kosher" box do to the SWAMI report?
I have a SWAMI run by a professional, and she checked off "kosher" on mine. I still see non-kosher meats and fishes in my "neutral" and "beneficial" lists. There aren't any meat/milk combinaions in my genoharmonic combinations, but I don't know whether that's due to the kosher box on SWAMI or if it just worked out that way for me personally.
I do not remember ever having heard of a meat/dairy G-H combination. It is possible that none exist and quite unlikely that you would see any in your Swami even if they do. Since Meat and Dairy are well defined categories, the restriction should be easy to implement. |

Either it has split hooves and chews its cud (aka, has 4 stomachs and eats grass) or it doesn't. Horses have the 4 stomachs but not the split hooves.
Hi ruthiegirl, horses, like humans, are monogastric, having only a single stomach with a single chamber. Horses are unable to regurgitate their food, i.e., chew cud, due to the one-way only aspect of their esophageal sphincter, which is one of the reasons colic is the leading cause of premature death in domesticated horses. Unlike us, they can't vomit. Which is why any obstruction in a horse's GI tract is a serious matter. Ruminants, such as cattle, actually only have one physical stomach but they do have four separate chambers within that stomach ... which makes for very effective digestion of grasses, et cetera. You're defintely right about horses not having split hooves, though, because you then have a whole other set of (unpleasnat) problems if your horse does have a cracked/split hoof. |

Ah, I didn't know that about horses. I thought that all grass-eating animals had the same ruminant 4-chambered stomach. In any case, horses are clearly non-kosher. |

Eh. I don't judge people by their dietary choices, especially if it's a cultural thing. |

I asked Swami Xpress support if the software would receive it's update in July as someone previously posted. I was told that it would be in the fall.
Just wanted to share that with everyone. |

There are substantial differences in the version. So I think it will be quite noticeable if you login (I was going to say obvious, but some people look at software differently than me). There will also be plenty of activity on the forums noting the release, if you do not login regularly. |

Did anyone else get an e-mail asking permission to make changes to their swami? There wasn't any request for passwords etc. So I thought they might need this for their changes. I also thought they would just tell us in the news letter. |

sorry, I didn't save it, just took a look. I do remember they didn't ask for any account # or password and I believe it came over the member center but I might be mistaken on that. I do remember looking very hard for what they were asking and yes it was to update. |

There is a new version of SWAMI (XP2) that is in final testing. It allows multiple intakes (i.e. family members) and generates merged diets. It will simply replace your existing version one fine day. |

Better that it work adequately than be available quickly, though I for one will be very grateful to finally have a multiple intake feature similar to the BTD software.
