The Good Ship Explorer is now about 30 minutes away from departure (after a "mostly compliant" dinner) from the Port of Houston on its Maiden Voyage: the hoped-for destination "Warrior Island" (legendary home of Dr. D'Adamo and other notable Warrior genotypes.)

Being that this is the Maiden Voyage, and we are looking to give the ship's engines a full running-in before docking, we will cross the Prime Meridian roughly "25 pounds out" from Port, proceeding towards the Island performing mandatory strenth-testing of the hull and engines in open water.

Please see your cabin attendant for more details about location of safety equipment, as well as a schedule of daily Physical Culture classes offered, jogging track etiquette, and of course - shuffleboard!

There was almost a 3 way tie between Explorer, Teacher and Warrior habitats to choose from as per SWAMI's 'home office memo' ; as we continue to drop human inflammatory ballast on our journey, I am sure we can work in a Port-of-call at Gathererland, to check out all the cool natives, customs and activities.

"Captain's Log, voyage date 05-24-12:

We were thrilled today to have received a telegraph from one of Warrior Island's inhabitants welcoming us in advance. Our Second Mate made the happy announcement over the dining room intercom before  breakfast commenced, and afterwards, our Gift Shop staff were quite pleased to report that extra camera cards had been purchased by passengers scurrying to make ready for "a throng" of natives instead of the typical "Hollywood tour" of the Island where they "might" or "might not" catch a glimpse of some of the world's most outstanding Warriors.

According to the D'Adamo Files, what we do know of the Warriors is that their great strength comes from a basic style of vegetarianism, and being great fishermen. (those who still work the land and sea). It would indeed be picturesque if we were to witness spear-fishing practised on this island. According to our topographical map, there are a few volcanically formed hillsides as well. We hope to confirm whether terrace farming is done to accommodate its relative size and shape, especially given the reports of "an exellent pea stew" being fed to castaways washed up on Warrior Island beaches during sea storms.

These 2 days out of port we found that there was an inordinate usage of more "body deodorant" once tomato juice and guacamole was served at mealtime. These two foods have been deleted from the ship's basic daily menu, and stored in the galley for our first Port-Of-Call in "Gathererland" as a gift to its  Ambassador and those on staff at the Consulate.
