The taster strip can linger for hours for a supertaster. Any reaction that is gone within a few minutes would probably be a taster-level reaction. The sense of degree is much more subjective than the sense of duration, I believe. If I think too much about my own multi-hour reaction, I almost get the feeling of that darned taste back again.
That's a really good point, Paul! The duration would be the indicator. It lasted a good long time on my tongue too. Not something I need to do again anytime soon! I ticked supertaster. |

Yeah, mine didn't last as long. Maybe 5 minutes or so. And I don't get the heeebejeeeebees thinking about it. I also find that I really really like foods that have a bitterness to them when other people are gagging from them. So.... I have a feeling some of the people that are gagging on the bitterness are really supertasters and I enjoy them because I'm not gagging from it but it has some bitterness that isn't a negative thing. Eh? |

Hi everybody. I just ordered the SWAMI software. From what I'm reading, this actually "combines" types, or shows you what's good for you from different types? Am I reading correctly? The reason I decided to invest in it is because when I did the Genotype testing, the test came out insisting that I'm a Gatherer. But all of the strength tests essentially pointed toward Hunter. I scored a 22 on Hunter and only a 6 on Gatherer. I went back to see why and it was my index and ring fingers. Index are .5 cm longer than ring. I actually measured them incorrectly a couple of times and the rings came out longer. The Hunter description sounds so much like me -- but there are a few things in the Gatherer. Ughh.... So, hopefully SWAMI makes it all a little clearer? Just wondering. Thanks |

In SWAMI GenoType no longer matters, you get diet recommendations based on your measurements (assuming you tell it to calculate GenoType for you and do not override the calculation by specifying a specific GenoType).
SWAMI does tell you your GenoType superfamily, but it does not matter since you follow an individualized diet plan recommended by SWAMI not one of the diet plans in the book. |

Thank you! That sounds exactly like what I'm looking for! The Genotype just sounded so confusing and so contrary to what I first thought was good for me -- a complete reversal, actually. We shall see...can't wait to see... Thanks again! |
